I have to say this as I'm shaking my head....? Within the past 2 years I pretty much ate what I should not have been eating...basically, all of the above in the previous posts. You may be able to handle it, but what you're doing is setting up bad eating habits going forward. I'm 5 years out and I'm battling sugar and carb craving like crazy! I told my doctor I feel like a heroin addict, seriously! He basically said, 'you introduced something back into your diet and now your body is craving it. You will have to expunge it from your body and diet, to lose the gained pounds and maintain your weight.' Easier said than done! I wish I had never started eating M&Ms, pizza, organic chips, and Skittles! In the last 8 months I have gained 15lbs. First gain ever!! Now I am desperately trying to purge sugar and processed carbs from my diet. Exercise will only do so much. It's your diet! So my advice is to be very careful with what you are introducing back into your diet after WLS!

I have actually been eating pretty much all lean chicken since my surgery 5 years ago and I haven't gotten tired of it. I cook or eat my chicken different ways/different flavors so boredom doesn't set in. I've tried eating other meats, but they just don't sit well with me. Nausea will rear it's head pretty quickly! If I ignore the warning, dumping syndrome comes next. No one wants that! ? Using different herbs, lemon and lime juice, and chicken broth to flavor my foods helps to keep dishes tasty and flavorful.

Like Sammi_Kat, this quarantine is actually helping me. I'm taking this time to relax, re-gain focus on my diet, exercise, and getting my house in top order! There is so much to do around the house, that between AM workouts and organizing my house, I am closing all of my rings on my Apple watch every day! So I'm actually more active than I was when going into the office and sitting at a desk all day, surrounded by cupcakes, cookies, and other office sweets. I shop at Sprouts and I'm enjoying picking up protein rich foods in small quantities, such as shrimp, shredded chicken, sweet potato bites, and other lean options. I'm enjoying how the world has slowed down just for a while, because it will pick back up soon enough! ?

You're not asking a stupid question. And it's not TMI. Goddamnit, people depress me sometimes.
First: when did you have surgery? Have you done coke before, and is this typical? Had you had alcohol since your surgery?
Just based on the timing, I'd guess that you've got a stomach bug and that this isn't related to the drug use. Anyone vomiting for three days would feel ache in their stomach. Did you have a flu shot this year? Are you drinking a ton of Gatorade or Pedialyte to make up for the dehydration? If not, your symptoms are just going to feel worse.
Even if this reaction has nothing to do with the coke or booze, you know that introducing a rogue element into a healing system isn't a good idea, obviously, and you'll be more careful in future. Good.
Few things make me bristle with rage. Idiotic responses like this would be one of them. Her question was related to WLS, since she's concerned there's been an interaction between the drugs and the surgery. She's asking for help because she's worried. I am incredibly angry that your response was the first here, as it is worthless.

I splurged this week on new underwear, the first since surgery. I was careful to use my measurements to buy them and brought them home and washed them, as I always do before wearing them. I took the panties out and immediately said to myself, no way my big a** will fit these, to my surprise they fit. I did and said the same for the first lacey bra I've had in decades. It fit too. I need to be kinder to myself and not allow my head to talk to me like this. An exciting day and a big victory that I can't share with anyone but my husband, he's thrilled BTW. I suspect it will take some time for the head to catch up with the body. Now if I'm in an accident and rushed to the ER I will be known as the granny in sexy undies, and not granny panties!
