  1. I’m not sure if it’s gas or acid reflux like Hop Scotch mentioned but your body is still adjusting to your new stomach so you’re definitely going to experience things like this. It sounds completely normal and should subside in a few days. If you’re concerned though reach out to your surgeon. Hope you feel better soon!
  2. @VIN_IN_AL it’s so crazy!! So happy to hear you found the coveted tp we’re jonesing for these days! Thank Goodness you thought like a camper. 😊
  3. We’ve got to laugh to keep from crying about it! A little humor goes a long way in this process. 😁
  4. Good to hear you’re feeling well!
  5. So happy to hear you’re doing well! Congratulations on this big step you’ve taken to get healthy!
  6. I had the worst left shoulder pain for several days. One night I dreamed I was having surgery on my shoulder because it was so hurting so bad and I felt it in my sleep. Crazy. I’m 17 days post op and it’s all gone now. Thank Goodness. I hope the Tylenol helps and you feel better!
  7. @JRT Mom Sooo funny! Thanks for sharing. Is it really in TP or am I completely gullible?
  8. Oh Vin, that’s the worst. And seriously....why was it toilet paper?? How did it become comparable to the value of gold? I too haven’t found any in stores here in Loganville, GA. Sh*t’s getting real!

    Full!!!!!

I know! I love it! We’re so used to cleaning the plate. I’ve been using little bowls and little plates.

    Full!!!!!

I’ve been on mushy foods for about a week and had my surgery on 3/3. At first, I couldn’t feel when I got full so I overate and it sucked! That’s awesome you can already feel it! Now I can eat about 1 and half scrambled eggs and feel full for a while.
  11. Just be careful as the days go on! You can’t trust a fart after Bariatric surgery! I pooped my pants 3 times when I was in the all liquids phase. Horrible, I know. Now I know after a really big one, the next one might be more lol. Happy tootin!! 💩😂🤮

    Surgery cancelled

I’m so sorry to hear about the cancellation. I know you are bummed. Sending positive vibes your way! I hope this mess is over soon so all of you who have been postponed can move ahead with your surgeries. In the meantime, you can indeed stay on your journey and prepare more for even better success!! My surgery was postponed almost two months and looking back now I see it was a blessing in disguise. I used that time to really prepare myself for this and get even healthier before surgery. Wishing you well on your continued journey ❤️
  13. @Machalo Very well said! I concur 💯 ❤️
  14. Yes, I took the 2nd day after but if I would have had it the first day i would have—I’m counting first day as in the day I had surgery on 3/3. I went in the day after surgery on 3/4 as mine was outpatient for fluids and told my surgeon I was hoping my mom would stop at Walmart to get some on our way. He said that was fine. So she did, and I felt some relief finally on 3/4. Of course, you will want to follow your surgeon’s instructions I’m only suggesting what helped me because I know the pain you are in. I hope you feel better soon. I had tried gas-x but that is for gas in your colon And provide zero relief. The activated charcoal caps helps with gas in your body not just the colon.
  15. @Ling82 oh I remember the gas pain! It was terrible. I’m so happy that part is gone. It will get better day by day. I too had to sleep upright for a few days. I wish you best of luck on your journey!
  16. @WhitneyLC84 Girl, I feel your pain. Ugh I wanted to pass gas so badly. I think for me it was day 3 too. Hang in there, it gets better every day. I finally slept about 4 hours about 24 hours after surgery by sittin down and leaving against the wall with like my shoulder against the wall. I asked my dr to prescribe me promethazine and he called it in. That allowed me to sleep as it makes you drowsy and the Charco Caps finally gave me some relief.
  17. Hi Whitney, oh those saved me! I was in so much pain from the gas. It was the worst pain I’ve ever experienced and I’ve had my boobs and my nose operated on. I was watching on those YouTube girls and she recommended charco Tabs for the gas pain after surgery....it’s the only thing that worked for me. The Percocet did nothing for it. i didn’t get any until day 2 but if I had known before I would have stocked up for day 1. Days 1-3 were pretty miserable. I hope you feel better soon.
  18. Hi Heather, I take Trazodone every night. I’m 16 days post op and I finally started swallowing the entire 100 mg tab. Before that I was just crunching them between my teeth just one so they broke up into like 3 pieces. It doesn’t taste bad bc I would barely bite on it. Just enough to get it to break up.
  19. My heart goes out to y’all who have had your surgeries postponed. I had mine postponed for almost two months but it was due to insurance not this devil virus....still i was devastated so I understand. This is not no, it’s just not yet. Y’alls time is coming. ❤️
  20. @Stinkerbells2ndact I think we commented at the exact same time. I wasn’t saying to you I don’t think that’s part of it lol. So sweet. I do hope @HLsleeve that you do call your dr ASAP
  21. I was the same way. When I first started my journey in October I was half-assing it. I somehow managed to lose 4 pounds that month. And the next two months I lost another 4 pounds each month. It wasn’t until my surgery was postponed due to insurance that I took it serious. Just do your best and commit to it as much as you can. Yes, the mind games will come. But you’ve got determine your why. Why do you want this? Why do you want to spend the next 6 months preparing for something that is ultimately going to change your life and your body as you know it for the better? I was tired of my back hurting anytime I walked just a little bit or stood for more than a few minutes. I was tired of not being able to bend over and tie my own shoes. I was tired of not being able to play with my niece and nephew because I was so out of breath. I was tired of isolating myself because I hated the way i looked. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired! When the mind games comes remember your goal. Remember your why. You can do it.

    When does a phase start/end?

Your tummy will let you know if you are ready, I believe. But I’m still new at this so there’s that. 😂😂
  23. Did you have a question about sodas or just needed to get this off your chest?? I think there’s a rant and rave section for that. Ive seen other Bariatric forums where people gang up on others. I have not seen that happen at all in this site. I’ve only been provided with amazing support here. I’m 16 days post-op and will not be trying carbonation of any kind as my surgeon has warned me it is not good for my new tummy. I wish you best of luck on your journey.
