my friends have big mouths too so that is EXACTLY why i did not tell them! i figure i can always tell them if i decide to one day but i can never UN-tell them. besides, how many of my friends know about any of my other medical history? it just didn't make sense to me. maybe i will tell a few more later, if they ask or if they are looking into the surgery themselves... though almost all of my friends are skinny so that may be a long time!

yeah same here! i'd die if some of my friends or especially some of my ex boyfriends found out! they don't need any fuel to add to the fire haha

as of right now just my best friend, my brother, my mom, my stepdad, and like 2 other non-friends know (my mom's hairdresser-- who has the lapband herself! and my friend's dad... not sure why he knows)

hey girlie! my surgery thursday went justtttt fine... i was off pain pills by saturday and driving on monday, just taking things slow and trying not to push myself too fast. but i lost my first 10 pounds in like.... 4 days! i had to weigh myself on two different scales, i couldn't believe it! my weight loss has slowed a little now... haha

everything went perfectly! I wrote about my surgery on the twenties thread if you are interested. how are you doing 6 months out? run into any problems yet?

thanks for thinking of me! my surgery was in columbia, missouri where I go to school-- Boone hospital with Dr. Walter Peters if you were curious. I am doing well, just a little achey in my back and a little sore on my belly when I get up and down. How long did it take for this to go away for you?

thanks so much! less than a week away... I can finally add nervous to my mixture of emotions! but... mostly just excited. and impatient.

going well. today was my first day of my liquid diet before surgery on november 20. so ready to get this thing going!

you've done an awesome job! halloween will be extra sweet this year for you, i'm sure. personally.. i'm not looking forward to the halloween parties this year, but i sure am for NEXT year!

yep, I go to Mizzou! I'll be banded up in Columbia now, but probably not until Thanksgiving break now.

good luck with your surgery today! I saw a post of yours about you/your boyfriend. I'm from Dallas but I moved to Columbia, MO for school about 2 years ago. I feel your pain with the long-distance relationships! Congrats on getting married as well!
