Well, I don't think this is the answer you want, but my legs are in no shape for showing off. Now, I lost a lot more than 100 pounds (I'm 160 pounds down from my highest weight), but my thighs were the first place I started noticing loose skin. The skin sort of hangs down like a loose pair of pants. My knees look pretty bad because there's sort of a crease where the loose skin hangs down over the top of the knee. Only long skirts for me, I'm afraid.

    Have you been exercising?

Mine aren’t great, I’ve always been “bottom heavy”. However, I had a Tummy Tuck a couple weeks ago and actually got some improvement in my thighs from that. Not sure if I’ll do a thigh lift down the road or just learn to live with it. Thigh lifts seem to be the most problematic plastic surgery. I’m going to keep working out for the next couple years and see what I can accomplish that way before making a decision.

I did not know that about being the most problematic. Are you comfortable wearing shorts and stuff?

  3. Thank you for responding! That makes me feel better... just so dang frustrating when you work so hard and you see that. Yesterday abs the day before I was only able to work out for 35 minutes instead of my usual hour Because of time constraint and I was like seriously?! Ugh I hope you’re right!! I had a great week last week and now this ... trying not to get discouraged but it’s hard.

I was also just put back on birth control.. seasjonique (the generic one). The dr said I shouldn’t gain weight...

    I’m questioning everything now 🤦🏼‍♀️

So I'm still being held hostage. I am on full liquids now, but it takes me two hours to eat 2oz of Soup and 2 oz of yogurt, that's the only way I don't have pain. X-rays and CT showed no obstruction so I'm having an EGD sometime tomorrow to see what my pouch looks like. They're thinking it might be pouchitis, yes it's a real thing apparently. They think that my severe vomiting the other day irritated it and that's what is causing the pain. I can drink about 2tbsp of Water at a time now which is a vast improvement. Still get twinges of pain with anything in my stomach.

This is scary! How’d everything turn out? I hope you’re home and much better now!

  5. I had gastric bypass in 9/15. I am 5’1 and day of surgery I weighed 250. I have Hashimotos. I’m just looking to see ppl with similar stats and their weight loss. Please, I know everyone is different, looses differently etc. I just would like to see how other ppl are getting along. So far, I’ve lost about 18 pounds post op and that seems to be so little to me. I lost about 3 or 4 pounds this week (third week weigh in) and that seems so minor. Again, I know everyone is different, I’d just like some similar ppl sharing journies so I can relate! Thank uou!

Hi! We’re almost surgery buddies! I had mine on the 16th!

I know what you mean there’s some noises happening down there lol but yeah so weird how I really don’t feel hungry.

How are you feeling? How is recovery??

Right? Lol I’m struggling more mentally I think... I still have some pain but nothing like it was. Hbu??

These are actually pretty standard questions.

The standard answers are pretty much you just had surgery. As long as you're not feeling pain, everything else can go either way. Hungry / not hungry, both are common. Rumbling / no rumbling, again common.

Your plan at 1 week is purposely bland, gentle, and boring. Keep doing your plan.

They key thing early on is to stay on plan, learn how to eat again.

Staying on plan, following your rules, is the most important aspect of your surgery aside from your actual surgery. We got where we were by doing what we thought was right. It wasn't. The surgery changed your plumbing. Your plan changes your head. Stick with it.

    Good luck,

    Tek

Oh I am for sure staying on plan. Just a general comment! Was just curious what the rumbles were!

  8. May seem like an odd question 😅 but.. I haven’t felt hunger yet. I had my surgery September 15th. I have had a lot of noises from my tummy tho. I’m wondering if this is my insides settling (kinda like a csection) or if this is a hungry tummy rumble without the empty hunger pains? 🤔 I should be starving.. I’ve basically only been drinking with maybe a few sooonfuls of broth. I’m so over broth I just can’t stomach it anymore 😓

You will be fine the pre diet is all about your surgeon preference. Most drs allow you some real food at least once a day. A banana should be fine or they wouldn’t tell you you could have it. This was my pre diet. You will be fine

Thank you!! You helped calm me down 😅😅 I’m starvingggg lol

Don't buy a case of anything unless you decide it's not gross. Your taste may change after the surgery. I also bought some bed pads since one of my friends needed them after surgery. I ended up giving them away. I drank a lot of Premier Protein shakes and Water at first. I bought some plastic 2 oz. cups, since that was all I was supposed to have at first. I used them.

Why did she need bed pads?

I take Synthroid and it is a tiny little pill. I have had no issues taking it normally.

I am currently on nature throid. It’s a pretty small pill, as well. Maybe I’ll bring it into my surgeons office for my pre op and see what he thinks. Were you able to take it right away after surgery or did you have to wait?
