I’m in the same boat! 7 days post op and getting hungry 😫 Fairlife chocolate milk with another scoop of unflavored Protein Powder has been a life savor for me.
side note- today was the first time the incisions started to itch. Normal? Anything to help?

For those who have had their surgery already, how are you feeling?
im completely unable to get my premiere Protein down which is very upsetting. I did also buy the non flavored Protein Powder that I can start adding to my liquid.
any other tils?

Im
very confused why the let me go home. However I’m slowly drinking my beef broth (8 oz) but at the hospital I was getting sick from 2 oz Protein Shakes

I’m sleeved S well and in my own private room. I feel absolutely great, except I keep dozing off every 20 minutes or so. I have slight irratation at the top of my rib cage which I’m guessing is the gas. Haven’t been cleared to walk yet but I believe we will be soon.

I’m one week Post op today! Also Bone Broth as it has Protein. I got this broth at Kroger and it is sooo good! It smells good and tastes much heartier than a regular Bone Broth, but still has that delicate broth consistency for our recovering tummies. I can’t stomach any other bone broth bc to me it smells like dead meat. Yuck! And this has 10 grams of protein. It’s about 4 bucks more but is great!
This is my go to brand. It is sooo yummy!

Yeah super nervous. More so about having regrets after than any complications. I lost 10 lbs this month by following the diet. So it gets on my head that I could do this without surgery if I keep doing what I’m doing now. But I also know I’ve told myself this before and it didn’t work.

It’s just makes me super tired. I’m hitting my Protein and Water so I just try to keep that in the back of my mind. I try to walk out of the room anytime my husband and or daughter are eating something that I can’t.

I thought I would try the Premier Protein clear ( to get ready for Clear Liquids for Sunday) in tropical punch flavor and I gotta say it’s definitely NOT my cup of tea (too much of an aftertaste) ....lol. I much prefer the regular premier Protein Drinks. March 2 is getting real close!
Are any of using myfitnesspal to log your calories. Today was my 22nd day of logging but it’s the first day on the liquid diet so I’m wayyyy under their calories recommendation. So it will not allow me to complete my days into. Anyone know how to “fix” this?

Actually, I'm into day 2, and so far, so good. I think it's the Protein Shakes.
Man, you are a trooper!

Damn, that’s rough! How long do you have to do that for. One or two weeks?

38 minutes ago, finding.me said:Same, here! I'm nervous, but excited! My program does a full liquid pre op diet for week. I start on 3/3!
I have been trying out different brands to see which are palatable. So far I’m digging the protein20 drinks and premiere Protein chocolate the best.
I’ve also got three different types of protein Soups that in anxiously awaiting to try 🙃Mello1 reacted to this -
