You look amazing! I can't even imagine you heavy!

  2. Ladies you all look beautiful and amazing!! It's so crazy to look at your after pictures, I would never guess ANY of you used to be heavy, holy crap, you all kicked butt, I'm still just in awe... my own surgery is in 9 days, I can't wait to post on this thread in my future. Thank you for the great motivation and reassurance. And I truly hope you all feel just how beautiful you look!

How are you doing on your liquid diet now? I hope you're not struggling anymore. I have one and a half days left before surgery and now I'm trying to force myself to drink. lol

That is so exciting!! It's almost here! Best of luck to you, you will do great! Can't wait to hear about your success! I am doing much better, I took in all the advice I was given and had a nice stern self talk, lol. Had to remind myself that this is just food, it isn't going to control me anymore, I either want this or I don't. So I regrouped, reprepared and refocused. This journey is truly a journey, as much as you try and prepare I guess you never really are until you are walking thru it. Thanks for checking up! Can't wait to see your journey. You'll do great! Stay in touch.

  4. You can do this!! It's mind over matter. We don't have much longer to go! Pretty much half way there. It's just food, and fat, it doesn't control you anymore. Tell yourself that everytime. Feel yourself already being stronger. It's a new you, the old you who would eat that is gone, there is no looking back.

  5. Make an appt with your primary physician, and then have them give you a referral to a bariatric surgeon. I gave myself the out when I first went, told myself I wasn't 100% sure if I wanted to go through with it, i didn't have too. But i made myself commit to the process, knowing it would take 6 to 8 months (depending on what your insurance requires. Money required 6 months of appts with a dietitian, and after those were finished then a few other appts with my 0rimary to have an ekg and a physical). It isn't a fast process. I started last July, and finally am starting my pre-OP diet monday, surgery scheduled for march 3. So this is my long way of saying call and make an appt and get the ball rolling! Good luck!

What is everyone doing to mentally prepare? Even though I’m excited and I have no doubt I’m making the right decision, I’m having a lot of anxiety about it.

Me too. Just trying to read as much information from other who have had it done to prepare myself for anything, the good and the bad. We'll do great though. A few months from now we'll say this was the best decision we ever made.
