You need to stop relying on other peoples opinion. This surgery is for you and you only. My wife threatened to divorce me when I decided I was going to have surgery. Here I am 7 months out and 112lbs down. Shes singing a different tune now.

19 hours ago, lisafrommassachusetts said:@Xx1jpt5xxI have been actually hungry for the last couple of days. Not head hunger, actual hunger. I have been upping the physical activity, but I have been walking 4 to 6 miles per day for months; now I am doing more stairs and hills but I'm not climbing the Alps! I think I need to watch the carbs; I have probably been eating too much fruit since we have local peaches and apples right now and I love them both at this time of the year. My calories are between 1000 and 1200 per day, so I would think I will still lose weight at this calorie level with my activity level, but then again I am nearly 62, with mid-level thyroid disease and a bum knee, so who knows. I'd like to lose another 25 pounds.
Your weight loss is amazing! How are you feeling? What is the best thing about this journey so far?
I dont really feel too different if you can believe that. I have a bunch of neck and back issues that I hoped would improve but they haven't.
My wife finds me more attractive so thats a plus.

Anyone else starting to get hungry? I just made 7 months and the last three weeks I feel I've been eating alot. I did manage to lose 11 lbs this month and 112 lbs since surgery so maybe I'm still doing ok.

I dont mind that you ate an egg Mcmuffin. Im more concerned that you said you were hungry 6 days post op. You shouldn't be hungry at all.

I had reflux for a bit. They kept me on the meds for 3 months. Im out 6 months and I've been good since then

I'm 6 months out. I probably have one of these for Breakfast every other day. I get the birthday cake one. I dont really think of it as a treat. It isn't really that sweet its just something that fits my macros and doesn't upset my stomach

Today makes 6 months for me. From 345 DoS to 243.5, down 101.5 lbs. Hope to lose another 50. My neighbors have noticed the difference, been getting alot of compliments. Going to be awkward when I go back to work. Been working from home since March.

Hey all.
Its been about 5 and half months for me. Down 95 since surgery and 115 since January.
Noticed myself in a hotel mirror over the weekend. First time I realized how saggy I've become.
I'm trying to up my weight lifting but its been tough since my wife won't let me go back to the gym.

The same happened to me. I'm sure to lots of people. But honestly once you eat something you been thinking about you'll realize its not as good as you think it would be, your tastes will change, it might even make you sick or nauseous.
I'm 2 months out and I don't get sick or anything but I get no pleasure from eating. I just do it to get my Protein in.

I am slowly, SLOWWWLLLYY losing weight. I do not feel very thirsty ever, and initally I was not very hungry. But now I do get hungry.
I don't even feel that much different.
Its good progress. I wouldn't worry too much I'm not. My surgery was 2/26 @ the same 345 and I've only lost 45 and I'm a guy. Weighed in today at 299.7 so officially in the twos.

Hey hang in there. The first two weeks are not pleasant. Get your fluids in. I'm 6' male and started at 345. I'm about 2 months out and am now 300 on the nose today. Guess we're both at the same spot now.
PM me if you have any questions.

I’m baffled. I don’t know if I should up my calories or lower my calories. I’m getting about 700cals a day and meeting Protein goals most of the time. However, I don’t always get in all my fluids, so maybe that’s why?
So I didn't make my goal. Was 303 this morning.
I think your calories are fine. I probably take in a little less that that probably 500. But that's only because I just don't feel like eating. I just make sure I get 60oz of fluids and at least 70g Protein.

I didn't have a pre-op diet. I ate normally up until the day before.
-
So surgery was 2/26 so officially 8 weeks out. I started at 345 and am now 305.
Hoping to get under 300 by 4/26 but don't think it'll be possible.

I had no issues. Wasn't even aware there could be gall bladder issues.

I had bought a gorilla bow resistance band system, it was very much an impulse buy. Sat under the bed for months, earlier this year I tried to sell it on gumtree received not one enquiry. Now a little over a month out from my surgery and with gyms being closed, it and I have been having little workouts to complement my walking. Early days yet but I am enjoying it and thankful that I didn't sell it.
My only regret is I was in too much of a hurry to buy and didn't wait for the newer lite or traveller versions..
I bought a gorilla bow about 2 weeks ago. It was literally the only peice of equipment that wasn't sold out. I kind of like it. Just waiting for my second order of heavier bands that are out of stock.

My surgery was 2/26.
I have eaten sausage and ham a bunch of times. Didn't really think I was cheating. Heck I had a small bowl of sausage and peppers last night.
I've lost about 35 so far but I'm a guy so its different.

Wow thats a lot. I had like 20 questions max and had like a 20 min conversation.

Hey everyone. Today's my one year! Just realized I haven't posted in like 4 months.decided to start a kitchen renovation that took all of those 4 months. Let's just say my eating has been pretty terrible and there was lots of take out. On the bright side I still managed to keep losing.
My starting weight was 344 and I weighed in this morning at 196.5. So almost 150lbs lost. It's been great.
Now for the not so good news. Ended up in the ER back in Jan with severe stomach pain. Ended up having gallstones. Having surgery this coming Monday to remove my gall bladder.
