Hi all, I'm new to this. My surgery date was 12/9, since then I have lost 45lbs, but feel nauseous all the time and dry heave all the time. I am now on nausea medication and the dr said if I can't get more liquid and nutrients in I could have to have a pic line put in and get an iv daily. I was getting around 40oz of liquid, but can only eat about a 1/2 cup total of cottage cheese, or Soup a day. I also drink about half of a Premier Protein. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this and if so any suggestions.

The hardest part is to drink liquid while working.

I’m in the same boat as you but haven’t talked to my dr.

I had my surgery on 12/02, so I am 5-1/2 weeks after surgery. In that time I am -31 lbs and couldn't be happier in my decision. I too hit a wall of sorts and for 8 days, I only lost 2 lbs. I think the body needs time to transition to your new diet changes and also to work out it's new way to digest food. I am found that some days I feel hungry and others I could go 1/2 the day without eating. To me, I have kept a Protein Shake to start the day in my daily ritual along with an egg of some sort.

Do you find that sometimes you can take a bite of something and be full, yet other times you can eat more freely and almost feel like you ate too much afterwards?

Yes, before I was able to drink more. Now I can’t even get my Protein Shakes down. I feel kinda disgusted when I drink or try to eat anything. 😞 I’m not getting enough in and feel weak.

    I always wanted to:
Cross my legs, wear boots( ankles never allowed me to), go on vacation and not be tired, go to more parties, wear clothing that fits my style... not my body .

that is me 100%, wanting to cross my legs, wear boots especially the thigh high ones with a little skirt or something, parties, vacation be able to feel comfortable in a swimsuit

I love the "wear clothing that fits my style... not my body"

  4. I'm scheduled for 12/8. I'm very nervous. At the beginning of the year I was on top of my diet and exercise. I had some personal stuff in September and haven't followed a healthy eating diet since then. I just got my date. I don't know if I'm ready. My Dr is going to place me on a specific diet 10 days before but right now I'm just trying to go back to what I had practiced. Chewing 30x, taking sips, no snacking, avoiding carbs, Protein first, etc. I really want this, I'm just worried /:
