Omg I am so jealous lol. I was a vegetarian for a few years, I actually the surgery made me start eating chicken and fish again because of the protein level. having a nice fresh crunchy salad was a daily staple. And I really do miss it. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

my brother-in-law and parents-in-law live in fort Collins, I'd like to live in one of the communities outside of it because much like Denver it's become quite populated. No more flat ground for me lol ideally I'd like to live in the Yukon or Alaska somewhere, but I think it would be too far from my family Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

I live in Iowa. I love my neighbors and friends but hate the state. Moved here ten years ago for husband's military contracting job on the arsenal. We're originally from NJ and NY family now lives in Virginia Beach and his family lives in Colorado which is likely where we'll be moving once the kids go to college and get out of my house lol I need space and mountains and outdoor things to do. I feel trapped by flat plains and no forests or mountains here Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

    3 month supervised diet

My doctor doesn't believe in keto as a long term successful way to eat. I agree with him and enjoy fruits and veggies and feel they are nourishing to my body. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Morning smoothie time! (After the first pic I add 1 c of unsweetened vanilla almond milk and 1 scoop Genepro). This has become my staple and an easy way to get in protein, fruit, and veggies (and fluid) without rushing into actual food first thing on the morning, which has always been hard for me. I hate all commerical protein drinks but can handle this we'll and it's yummy! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Oh thanks I'm gonna get the app! And I've been toying with the idea of a glass of red wine. I am German and grew up on beer and wine with meals and it's just so cultural it's been hard to break! I miss my wine and crunchy things the most lol Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

I work from home and my kids are in school all day so I usually go around lunch time. It helps break up the day! Also, my husband is a true blue partner and would always pick up my slack if I wanted to go another time. He's running kids around as we speak because I was too cold to move and it's like 8 degrees out lol Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Eating is going well. I really like poke bowls so I had just the ahi and the avocado out of it and it was so good and went down so well. I really haven't introduced too much else since I'm not at week four. But the other day I had canned tuna (with mayo) and was fine. Two nights ago I had it again and five minutes later was wretching but of course nothing was coming up. Foods that I do well with are: soft cheese, banana, avocado, raw ahi tuna, cooked tilapia, chicken thigh, yogurt, cottage cheese, refried beans and sour cream. I kind of just rotate those thru. I plan to try oatmeal tomorrow. I so miss my raw veggies and salads. And anything crunchy really. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Yeah I definitely saw changes this week even though I didn't lose anything! I like the gym for my own sanity but I don't kill myself there or plan to go hard like CrossFit it HIIT anytime soon. Life in and of itself is exercising when you have two teenagers in every activity lol Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

I use the unsweetened vanilla almond milk and it works great for me. I can't do thick creamy liquids. They just don't go down well. I was down 16 pounds from 246 to 230 and I've sat at 230 for the last 6 days. Despite waking over 10k steps every day this weekend when in Chicago. I know it's expected and it's comforting to know none of us are alone in this stupid ass stall. Hahaha. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Wow that's nuts. I use a handful of spinach, around a cup of frozen fruit, about a cup of almond milk and my Genepro. It takes me an hour or two but I drink it while I work so I get side tracked. Maybe bc I'm rny things slide down super easy.? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

I was able to eat a chicken thigh with NO issues this weekend. It was so great. I was so scared of chicken based on other people's experience and it was delicious and filling and I felt great. I have a green smoothie every morning and it helps my morning energy a lot. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

I'm in the three week stall too. Surgery on 27th as well. Scale will not move and hasn't for like 5-6 days but I have seen differences so just keep trucking! It happens to everyone. And again at 3 months I heard too . Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

And my doctor cleared me for the weight machines at the gym (provided I can get in 500 cals a day) at my two week post op appt. There literally is no standard in bariatric surgery. I also believe every person may have different recommendations. For instance I was fairly young and fit before surgery and had no pain, incision or otherwise within a few days after surgery. But there may be an older person who has been sedentary and unfit. We may get two very different recommendations from our doctor's. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

    Post Op Meds

For the first couple weeks I was told to crush everything. After two weeks they let me take small pills like my birth control. But said I can start swallowing pills at 4 weeks. I think part of the problem is that you want them to absorb properly and if you have RNY you may not have proper absorbtion if you swallow. At least at first. And especially with what I assume are anti rejection meds, you definitely want those to absorb! I had a couple pills that were so nasty when I crushed them I would gag for like ten minutes after from the bitter taste. I found out what worked best was mixing it with a Gatorade and putting it in a large syringe and putting as far back in my mouth as I could to avoid my tongue. Then I'd have an ice pop on hand to chase it. I'd take a bite of it and let it melt on my tongue and it helped. Your doctor may have additional information of course. Good luck, you can do this. We can do anything! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
