    3 weeks in!

I'm almost 5 weeks out of RNY and "only" down 20. I am totally happy with this number. I'd rather lose slower and have my body recalibrate when needed and give my skin and nutrition what it needs - time to adjust. Also, I hit a stall at 3 weeks post op and it was when I saw the most dramatic changes in my appearance (neck and stomach) without even a pound down. Have you tried weekly pics or measuring? I think this will help you see that your body IS working and losing during the stalls, maybe just not on the scale. Here is a pic from week 3 to week 4 when I lost 0 pounds. Time off

I think you'll be fine. As long as you rest and get your fluids and protein and walking, by the time you have to travel you should be good. I've been traveling since 3 weeks and had no issues. I just pack a lot of my own food: peanut butter packs, cheese sticks, etc. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Awww they're all so cute! I have two of my own dogs and foster pretty much all the time. Kittens and dogs, and often the ones that are sick, need bottles, or extra work like this one who is deaf and needs to learn hand commands. It's hard but rewarding! I've fostered over 120 animals! Tomorrow will be one month (4 weeks and 3 days) and the scale finally hit 20 lbs lost. Of course I didn't get enough fluids yesterday and woke up with no energy and a bad headache. So today I'm back to just liquids until dinner so I can focus on rehydration. I've been going to the gym consistently and I have a new foster dog who needs consistent walks So I think with all the extra activity I was not hydrating properly. It's just so hard when you're trying to manage eating and drinking and can't do both at once . So today I'm just going to focus on one thing. And for you're viewing pleasure, here's a picture of my deaf foster dog Bluebelle. She's the sweetest! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

    Time off

Everyone is different. I was fine in a few days. I was working again three days after surgery but work from home. If I worked an office job,I'd have taken the week but I'm stubborn lol. Energy is definitely the biggest issue. Get your fluids and your protein and walk your face off (short multiple walks).it helps a lot. I'm four weeks out now and back to jogging, traveling, etc. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Yeah I was told to do one at a time to see how I react to it. So far just had raw cucumber and it did well! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Also no raw veggies till 6 weeks but I had a cucumber slice the other day and didn't die . Ironically enough, toast and crackers were allowed this week but I didn't like it. No other starches allowed and quite frankly they make me feel bad so I don't bother . Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

They advise against gummies but it's bc of the sugar and I honestly don't care as long as I can get the vitamins in. Lol Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

I got a women's daily gummy from Costco bc I couldn't stand the chewables. I'll take the few grams of sugar in order to be able to get the vitamins in ! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

    No restriction

I'm assuming you're still at mush food? I think once you start eating more solid food you'll feel more restriction. That being said, so many people had me so scared about certain foods and so far I can eat almost anything. The ONLY thing I've had a problem with is eating too quickly when I'm not paying attention. It happened again tonight. Taking to a friend as we were playing cards and was eating my crab and a few minutes after finishing, it came right back up. I also don't tolerate creamy soup, I think for the same reason. They go down too fast and then I feel sweaty and hot and nauseous but bc they're liquids there's really nothing left to throw up as it's already went down the tubes so to speak lol. Bottom line, you'll learn you best. Take it slowly! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

I managed to get 600-650 this week by eating small amounts more often. But then my fluid intake goes down. It's a hard line to walk. I don't count carbs really but have been having more fruits and vegetables. And I think it really helps energy. I don't follow low carb or keto of any of that. I try and eat wholesome foods as much as I can. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

I had to up my calories and carbs for more energy. I'm still tired by 4 pm but overall it's been much better. It also helped me get thru a stall. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

I am terrible. I get maybe 40 a day. But I have found that hot tea goes down so much faster than cold drinks so I've been trying to have 2-3 cups of that a day. The sipping kills me. I just want to chug my water haha Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

I did. It was lean and no matter how much I chewed I didn't feel like I could get it chewed enough. Tried a turkey meatball and went down like lead. I do well with dark meat chicken and the meats that are in the P3 packs, as well as all seafood. Honestly seafood has been the best. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

    1) I am so sore from the gym yesterday and I only did the baby weights on the arm machines lol! I had five wrist reconstruction surgeries (dislocated and rotated playing hockey) in the last 18 months and was finally cleared for lifting. I will never be able to use heavy free weights or barbells because I can't risk ruining my tendon grafts and the machines are controlled. It felt good but man I'm so weak! 2) Maybe the gym and working some muscles was what my body needed because the scale finally moved a wee bit (1 lbs or so). 3) I miss Motrin. 4) I miss wine. It's what they put in a California roll when you have cooked sushi. It's made of mostly pollock with some crab. I think it takes very similar to crab (I mean nothing beats the real thing lol) but it was nice to have something else to eat ! You can eat it cold in salads or dipped in butter. I sauteed mine in a skillet with a pat of butter. It was so yummy. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

I just tried this tonight and it went down and sat so well! Had with a little drawn butter. Grew up poor as **** so this was what we always had and my mom called them Sea Legs. When I saw then at Aldi I picked them up to try when I could have fish and they were so yummy! They do have added sugars but it's not bad and truthfully I could use a little sugar some days.
