How much sugar caused you to dump?

I have had no issues with sugar. Any issues I've had is from eating too fast or foods too rich ? I can't do thick creamy soups right now without getting the sweats) Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

I'm only five weeks out so not looking forward to that! I hit a stall in week three and found that when I "shocked" my body, it started to move. For me, it was weight training at the gym. Have you gone back to that yet? Or more calories.? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

I'm five weeks and I get only around 300-500 on most days. I get more if I do small meals throughout the day and dense caloric food like nuts etc. I'm trying but some food doesn't work lol Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

When you go to the gym before physical therapy (wrist surgeries) and forget a snack and you're bout to cut a b***h for food lol I can only eat about half but it's filling and great to grab at a gas station. Needs to be chewed well but I enjoy these! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  5. The best piece of advice I can give is to go in positive. Don't assume you'll have complications. Yes we hear from the people who have issues and are in pain, tired, etc. But that's because they're feeling bad and want help and support. What we tend not to see is the other 98% of us where everything went off without a hitch. I walked and walked and drank a ton of fluids and was home from RNY within one day and in no pain within 4-5 days. At 5 weeks out I am jogging, light weight training, and basically back to or better than normal. Go in thinking you're going to rock this and nothing is going to stop you and you're going to walk and sip fluids and kick the surgery's ass. And do it. Move. Drink. Repeat. Also, hydrate like a camel the day before surgery. Literally like a gallon or more. My surgeon swears by this because people who go on hydrated tend to do better. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  6. Dehydration and low electrolytes can cause elevated heart rate. That being said, I'd definitely call your doctor in the morning. Good luck! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

    Sleepy all the time

Honestly it will get better over time,I'm 5 weeks out. But yes to the electrolyte too. My Costco sells packs to put in drinks. Or try Gatorade zero. I also take collagen and b12. I walk a lot and and back to weight training. Sometimes that makes me tired to but overall my energy is better with activity. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  8. I agreed to always check with your doctor! however a hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic. So you were probably lower in weight due to your inability to retain water. since you haven't already had the surgery, I would see if you can flush it for a few days with a ton of fluids. And see if the weight goes down. Water retention is a b***h. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  9. Oh no! I am so sorry you're feeling so bad. I would definitely call the surgeon and tell him how you're feeling, you probably definitely need fluids. And they can give you medication to manage spasms and nausea. I never had any complications so can't give you personal experience but I do think your surgeon will know best ! I hope you feel better soon! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

    Hospital bag tips

I wore out what I wore in and just stayed in hospital gown. Chap stick, toothbrush and toothpaste, and a charger. Honestly that's all you need. They have everything else. I was only in one night for rny because I was doing great and wanted to go home but they offered a shower in the second day if you wanted it. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

I never really thought about the loss happening in my face but I went out last night with my BFF and we took a selfie and she's like "your face is shrinking!" Here's November with her and last night. She's been a rock star with me through all this Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Do you like tonic water ? The quinine helps with leg cramps! Also yes to the magnesium. I'd start that back up as soon as you can. And hydration itself will help. Keep sipping! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

    Sick of sweets 🍭

Try an unflavored protein like Genepro and you can mix it in anything Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  17. Ugh sorry you're going through this. I had no issues at all but severe nausea and fever seem to warrant a call to the surgeon or a trip to ER. Fevers can dehydrate you very quickly and that is the scariest stuff right now. You need fluids. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Tonight's dinner. So yummy. Eating a cracker slow is comical. Lol these crackers are amazing and so much less dense than saltines or any other one Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Do you mix the Genepro with water first to dissolve it ? Or just put it in the liquid egg? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

They're so cute! I can eat about 3 ounces at a time without issue. I feel very little restriction at all. And it's only after I've eaten, if I've done so too fast, that I'll feel really bad for a little while. I eat about 4-5 times a day (not always three ounces, often just a cheese stick or cashews as a snack) but small meals through the day . It's the only way I can get in protein because I hate the damn drinks lol Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Welcome! I had surgery 1/27 and had the same stall. And the same one pound gain! It will go away, I promise! Pick one day a week and weigh in instead of daily for sure! It's nothing you're doing wrong. It's your body adjusting! One pound is a good poop! Lol As far as protein, I have the worst time with protein drinks as well so have taken to putting Genepro in a morning green smoothie. Have you tried those? Or Genepro? It's flavorless and 30g of protein for 56 Cal scoop. I also put it in my oatmeal! I definitely eat most of my protein. My meals are pretty similar there days: meat and cheese, refried beans and cheese, chicken thighs, lots of seafood Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

My husband is the cutest. He bought a full turkey breast from Costco for the kids for school this week (we have a deli slicer) and he made little chunks and made me these little snack packs with cheddar, portioned-out to 3 ounces. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
