My paperwork was submitted to my insurance 1/21/2020. On 1/23/2020 I got an email from my insurance letting me know I was approved. My surgeons office just got the paperwork today.

One of my coworkers is concerned and doesn’t think I should have the surgery because another coworker of ours had the lap band done and gained weight back. Darned if you do, darned if you don’t. Everyone else in my life that knows is supportive (at least to my face! 😂).

According to my surgical team it’s fine post op. I just have to drink it black during the clear liquid phase.

Right now I’m getting the list of meds and Vitamins that my team wants me to have on hand. I don’t have a surgery date yet, so I’m not in a rush. I am “auditioning” clear Protein Drinks so that I can make sure my fridge is stocked with things I will drink.

My support group has a clothing exchange, so I donate stuff. The only thing I’ve held onto is a pair of size 26 capris that I bought back in 2002 (and subsequently ended up having to wear again a few summers ago because I gained a ton of weight back, and then some!). I’m only holding onto those for the picture of me in them once I reach my goal weight. 26 was the largest size I ever wore.
