I am down 64lbs still hanging in there, slowly but surely, I am to blame though because it takes me for ever to return for a fill, I have made an appointment with my Doctor the 1st week after New-Year...

Congrats... you have done very well, I was also banded in 2006, May 11th 2006, in San Antonio, I live in Corpus Christi I have since lost just over 50lbs. like you said bad habits die hard, my problem is going for the fills I think I take a long time inbetween due to liking the eating-more freedom yet it stunts my progress, I had a fill in Feb and my weight is moving again, hope we can get together and do something to encourage each other... You guys crack me up!!!, I had problems with the boobs, it was like I have this extra 20lbs jumping up and down stuck infront of me, and the jumping is not as easy!!, I will try again since I have lost a few more pounds. That was fuuny though to know I am not alone, next time i will try duck tape (joke)

Hi everyone, I am kind of frustrated at this point, as far as I understand I have the Inamed band that fills to 10 cc, my first fill was under flouro and he filled up to 8cc and I got uncomfortable and he withdraw till 3cc. I am up to 3.5cc 2nd fill but I dont fill any restriction, my question is during my second fill I made my Dr to withdraw the Normal saline to see if I have the original 3cc, he showed me I did, but I expected it to come out blue colored but it was clear..... Does anyone of your bands have a dye in it (the VG.)?

Hi chubster808, yes you wont feel any restriction at this time,as we are all different, they said they dont fill it at first to allow any swelling that may have occurred during surgery to go down, my doctor said 'It just hang there like a necklace" till you get the first fill.... so hang on there and wait for the first fill!!!

Hi Shutuplena, you are not alone in this dilemna, I went for a 2nd fill, two days ago and I was drinking the liquids as instructed but I was and still am so hungry that I went ahead and ate some solid foods, though I chewed it good but I did not feel any restriction, does this mean I have to go back or what, since my last fill I have gained 7lbs over the holidays thats why I went for the fill because I was eating more "over a cup girl!" Please someone out there with some suggestion!!!

Final posting... start weight 255lbs, today's weight 248lbs. Congrads to you'll!!! It was a great experience I will look forward to the next challenge.:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

THANK YOU!! for your encouragement, I am not trying to be hard on myself I know I did not gain the weight in one day... but sometimes you want to see results as I am not eating as I used to.

I know I won't win, I am a slow loser but I was motivated because I got up and started exercising when I realized I was not losing any more, I was stuck at 255lbs beginning of the challenge, today I am down to 248lbs still losing... can,t wait for August...

I,ve been reading the postings and feeling motivated, I have been down for sometime because my weight did not move after I reached 255lbs mark... I would lose 2-3 lbs but later find myself back to 255, I tried to eat more Protein and there was that challenge that got me up and started exercising... today I am down to 248lbs still motivated thanks everyone, keep up the good work!!!:clap2:

I love shopping... I visited the site you suggested to Leenerbups.. I am size 20 now , black, apple shaped, my closet is full of pants suits. It has been hard for me to fine a dress that fits because of my stomach..Lol,I like something to show off my legs 'cause I thing they are my only assets right now!!! So please find something flatterring for that kind of figure.

Dont be hard on yourself girl, be your self go and enjoy the wedding, you have started something... I love shopping(by the way you are JUST MY SIZE) I have been looking at the sites Barb and Funny....have provided, for sure you will get something that looks GREAT on you.. Dont be discouraged... Hello Randi, I did my banding recently with the Wish center my Dr and hospital staff were wonderful, I woke up with no pain, never took pain medication, I am an RN, and I think he did a good job the scars are so small to non-existance, except obviously the port one, but so far so good...:clap2: GOOD LUCK

Mert, welcome to LBT, keep talking to them and get all the information they want, sometimes you are required to do a whole physical exam, dont give up, work with your primary PC

Cherly, try blending your food and see if the pain feeling wont go away, that way the food will go down smooth and you might get the full feeling before the pain, Hope it helps!! (By blending the taste remains the same its just the looks):hungry:

Hello Sparkey1955, I am 6 wks off surgery had it done in san antonio, My experience was wonderful since i was nervous this was my fisrt surgery, But all good so far, GOOD LUCK!!!

Cherg, I am sorry to hear that you are going through that even before your first fill, I got my fill a couple of days ago, My Dr told me to go back to liqiuds and mushies since there will be swelling x 24hrs however after the 24hrs I reverted to my old eating habits which was chilli soup..., boy did I get that pain, it felt like the food was refusing to go down causing the esophagus to spasm. it happened twice in two days, mainly in the evening, my friend told me to hold my breath and not drink Water, so I am back to mushies for now, GOOD LUCK!!!

I had my surgery a few weeks ago bluecross/BS of Texas covered the surgery, work with your primary Dr to document the problems you are having now and any weight loss efforts you have tried in the past two years.
