    Smoking hookah

Seriously I literally needed an answer for this because boyyyyy I have been sober from my bong for 3 months and just looking at her so lonely is hurting my heart lmfao I think I should definitely ask my surgeon
  2. So I’m about a few days short of 3 months and I don’t know if it normal but I have been getting hungry more often. I still can’t take more then 3-4 ounce max of food and I never drink an hour before eating and an hour after idk the 30 mins after wasn’t working because I drank and felt like I over did it and would throw up so I stick to an hour after. But I’m hungry I eat my veggies and proteins and I have healthy snacks about twice in between and it still isn’t working. Maybe it’s my sleeping because I wake up around 9-10am and go to bed around late-ish. My nutritionist said it was very normal but I’m scared I might be end up gaining if she advances me to more then 700 calories. I need some advice maybe some foods to try. Help 😔
  3. This is really help full! My day would consist of like an Medium egg and maybe some tomatoes scrabbled in it. Then lunch is like chicken and the freezer mix veggies a cup of that and dinner would be maybe another 2 ounces of chicken and carrots or tuna and two leafs of lettuce. My snacking is like healthy mix nuts an ounce of that and skinny pop a Serving of that. Or I will have a table spoon of peanut butter and a banana.
  4. Today I have realized that this surgery really does play with your hormones and your mind. No matter how much you prepare for it Like I was definitely not prepared for this no matter the Months of consulting and going to the nutritionist. Depression with the sleeve is really ****. Anyone else feeling like this?
  5. Well I don’t know if it’s good or bad and will end up leading me back to bad habits but I go the entire week eating my 500-650 calories plus daily walking and then On like a Friday or Saturday I end up having a Reese thin just one little piece and like a hand full of skinny pop. I really don’t feel like it’s a bad thing I never have outside fast foods hence my stomach can’t handle the grease and I ended up with dumping. Which might I add if freaking annoying to last me two days. But I’m sure I’m not the only person who has a little bit of the sweets. Guilty
  6. I did this on my lower left hand side of my tummy. I went and got up to quickly and tearing is what I felt accompanied by a burning feeling in the area went to my doctor he said it was fine and normal because of the movement I was making. Told to take it easy maybe your moving way to fast or shifting your body in positions where it’s still tender. Take it easy and move at a slower pace.

    No Bowel Movement...

Yup same I didn’t produce anything until about 6-9 days out and it was bare minimum. Once you transition to soft food bot ohhh boy be very careful to get all of your daily fiber even in chewable form. I was blocked up to the point I was in the er for help but after that once I could have some broccoli I was making sure it was a snack in the diet whenever I could but I’m about 2 1/2 months post op and my movements is like once every 3 maybe 4 days.
  8. It’s not a big risk tbh but I need some greens in my life!! Tried spinach and it was horrible on my stomach two weeks back buttt today I’m risking it gonna try broccoli at 7 weeks hopefully it won’t kill me. Anyone else try it this early?
  9. Kinda sucks but I lost 48 pounds in two months now I have to figure out how to break this stall. I’m already doing about 700 calories a day. Maybe nows a good time to hit the gym?

    Starting my new life

Yup I had pain in my shoulder and arm for about 3 weeks. Try walking around and gas-x strips other then that it’s super normal and you will probably have to push through it.
  11. Sooo girl talk I have always had heavy periods like super flow with the mess and junk stuff and I wanted to know from your personal experience how has your period changed since the surgery? With the extra weight gone have you had less of a period or did it go back to normal if you had a irregular? I’m sorry if this question is like super abnormal but I figured since we have had the surgery it’s a good one to ask if not my apologies.

    Bowel movements

Yes for me it took about 9-10 days before I produced anything that wasn’t solid in form but once you get to about 2-3 weeks you will have the baby phase BM where it’s not solid but kinda like how babies have there poops. Then after when you get to the soft foods it’s smooth sailing. I will caution that the soft to solid food phase you might get really really backed up so do stay on top of the fiber if not you will have an unpleasant er visit like I did.

This question is for the ladies 😊

Omg he’s amazing and very attentive!! But I have the depo and it’s like with the massive weight loss and the pcos (aren’t we ever so lucky) I can bleed for months with no end so after this surgery I think the shot was effected and I ended up back to over bleeding so hopefully on my fifth shot I will be okay and it stops overall because the pain from the pcos is literally nonexistent anymore along with the cramps 😊 hopefully this bleed will subside.
  14. I dont know if I’m messing up. My nutritionist said I should be around 500-700 calories in food which I’m in between but I still haven’t started the gym and I’m scared I might be eating to much for 2 months post op. I haven’t really started the gym because I’m at physical therapy for three days out the week and working the other four and I don’t know if I should hop to it and just get the membership because I’m scared of the increase in calories I might not end up losing anymore weight or I might stall. I know it’s probably nonsense me asking but do you guys think I should start the gym anyways or cut back on calories?

    Scar oils/creams

Take the damn words out my mouth seriously I’m to broke and cheap to be able that plastic surgery life so gym and mederma slip and slide sessions it is. And water can’t forget water!!!
  16. I had the same thing went to my surgeon to double check and he said it’s normal for the main incision to get like that and take longer to heal. Just keep it dry and clean. I’m at 8 weeks and my main one welted up and drained and now it’s healing. But the others are golden give it time as long as it’s not green and smelly you are okay

    Scar oils/creams

Mederma is like super freaking worth it being expensive love it!! Maybe Walmart has them cheap not sure but definitely give it a try
  18. So I went to the er and had a ct scan of my abdomen because of constipation. I ended up finding out that I have a mass in my liver and they don’t know if it’s veins or a fatty deposit. I will be going to my surgeon this week and my primary tomorrow. Has anyone had this happen? I’m kinda worried and don’t want to over think the worst about it.
  19. I did this before with tuna fish and it was a hell of a night honestly what I did was take a few days and went back on a liquid diet even tho my pain was gone the next day and then started back on my soft food diet the following week. But if your still feeling the pain call your surgeon. If not back to the liquid phase really really helped and the next week I was fine after trying the tuna fish.
  20. This honestly happens to me about 3 times a week but I went to my doctor and it was because I wasn’t hydrated and my blood sugar was super low. Now I’m not saying this happens to everyone but before the surgery I used to skip meals and then eat everything in one meal which wasn’t healthy and my mind set is still at the “oh I’ll eat later or drink something later” and It has some hard consequences. Your friend probably has the same thing low blood sugar just if you get it done make sure to follow the meal guidelines 3-4 meals a day and stay hydrated at all times You should be fine.

    I'm so upset, I'm a slow loser

Girl rant on we are all here to help honestly like @Losingit2018 and @Tinesia said it’s not a race tbh yes it’s pain not to lose the weight but atleast you are seeing progress. Plus just think of it this way gives your skin time to snap back and less sagging skin!!! So when you least expect it it just might be a blessing.
  22. I’m literally in the same boat I have lost my thighs, arms and ALL of my ass lol but my midsection is like a pain to lose any weight but I guess like everyone says the fat in the abdomen is the last and hardest to lose. We got this get in on them crunches and abdominal workouts

How often do others weigh themselves?

I weigh myself every time I go to my nutritionist so about once a month but the first month I had the doctors weighing me every week because I was losing more then 10 pounds a week and she wanted to see if it would slow down which it has, to about 6 pounds a week but to keep me mentally here without the whole depression because of some water weight in the morning or constipation. Honestly once a month is fine gives you the whole surprise of “i lost 15-20 pounds that’s great!” Feeling

    Schedule of Foods

Well I was super scared to try anything as well around 3 weeks I tried tuna purred and it was a mess I felt the stinging pain of sharpened on the lining of my stitch and I completely backed out of foods and back on the liquids around 4 weeks and a half I had tried chicken cooked in broth and it surprisingly went down okay but I could only eat 2 bites and I was full for hours!!! I didn’t try romaine lettuce until about 6-7 weeks now when my doctor cleared me for everything but my worst mistake along with the tuna at 3 weeks and the tomato sauce or any sauces that are thick and hearty. I ended up with acid reflux for two days and I was stuck sipping on almond milk for that time. I would suggest starting with the steamed soft chicken and in broth. Definitely follow your doctors plan I gave it a try for solid foods for the chicken and meatballs (can’t forget those) around 4 weeks. Hummus is good to and avocado is a life saver.
