I am 5 days post op from my VSG. The the pain from the gas is real. What helped me were the heating pads. After surgery I had my husband put the heating pads on each shoulder and one on my back. I purchased them at Jewel Osco they come in a pack of 3 and cost 7 dollars. Walking also helps. Good luck!

I am 4 days post op. I had a gastric sleeve done. I can’t seem to tolerate the Protein Shakes either! I just purchased Isopure Water zero carb Protein Drink. They have 160 calories and 40 g of Protein for a 20 oz bottle. They have different flavors. To me this is working so far .
