  1. I just received my first fill yesterday 1.4cc in a 4 cc band. I AM STARVING! I have read enough posts here to know that sometimes it takes a while to feel restriction, but I hope it comes soon or I am liable to do something drastic....(like drink another protein shake..ha ha). I can't wait until I am back on mushies!
  2. Great job...you look wonderful!
  3. "I guess it doesnt matter how often you eat but you must not eat more than 600-900 cals a day." My doctor said to stay between 1000 and 1300 calories a day. Normally when I go lower than that I do not lose.
  4. They had me take 40 mg of Prednisone before surgery. But other than that, I was fine.

I am really dissapointed about Elliot...but I would love to see Taylor win. Kat annoys me (maybe because she is thin....just kidding!)
  6. Hi Guys! I just had my five week visit...down another 2 pounds. I will be getting filled on Monday! I am excited!
  7. I ate Chinese on Mother's Day, fried rice....and PB'd...not good.
  8. Thanks PhotoNut! My husband was actually more worried than I (HA HA). For now I will just enjoy! HAVE A HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
  9. Thank you! Happy Mother's day to all of you! Looking good, Joe!
  10. OK so my period is still not here...my roomate at the hospital who also had lap band surgery had hers ever since we had surgery and I have had none. The doctor told her it was just hormones. Did anyone else experience this? I know I am not pregnant....so that is not the problem!
  11. I didn't even weigh in this week. Last week did everything right...little loss...then no loss. This week ate some cheese and crackers (HORRORS!) first real carbs since a month before surgery. My period is due and I have not been to the bathroom in about 2 weeks. Took Fiber, mineral oil, and even some leftover Zenical ....What to do, what to do! Hopefull this week will be better!
  12. Thanks for the help....the funny thing is, I have no idea what got stuck, maybe I did not chew my vitamin good (???????????)
  13. I take Adipex and Bontril PDM...especially until I get restriction. I just want to keep losing! I was taking Tenuate, hoever it is too big to get past the band!
  14. I am stuck right now....I just threw up a bunch of mucus (slime I guess) I am afraid to drink, afraid to move, ......just afraid. I read the deep breath post no relief....any other suggestions? HELP!
  15. Count me in for this coming weekend!
  16. 1 pound down!

  18. I'm with you Telly...if you feel you can do it, GO FOR IT!
  19. I too am afraid of gaining, but I found that tracking what I eat makes a huge difference and being honest with myself. I am fat because I do not know what a portion size is...so I now measure. I also record everything on www.fitday.com, which provide nutritional facts for what I am eating and tracks it against my personal nutrition goals ( for instance I allow myself 1000 - 1200 calories; 15-25 grams of carbs; and 80-100 grams of Protein. For me just seeing in black and white what I am eating has helped. Just a suggestion!
  20. I refrained....I drank my water...it tasted just like chocolate cake! (I can pretend can't I?)
  21. I almost succumbed to a piece of chocolate cake and then this e-mail cam and I remebered my weekend weight loss goal. Thanks guys! OOOH! the icing looked so yummy!
  22. TellyMelly and NJGirl: 27/28 lbs loss CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!! Roberta Thanks alot! Most of it was lost during pre-op! Now I am just trying to not gain during mushies!
  23. Thanks so much! I guess I should concentrate not on losing, but not gaining prior to my first fill!
  24. Thanks, Ira. My doctor suggests a goal of 80-100 grams per day, many of the Protein drinks I utilize are low calorie like Isopure only 160, and EAS only 110. I must try to be patient though....I am a control freak and patience is not my strong suit.:nervous
  25. Hi everyone, I was banded 4/13/06 in Willingboro NJ...I have lost 28 pounds so far!
