  1. Hi Lynners

I am 4 days post op and am also hungry I don't know how much clear liquids i should drink per day. I am afraid to drink too much... is it still 64 ounces of Water per day? 2 more weeks to go until real food...

Well for me that is what it was but every doctor has a different plan but I would say that if you stick with the 64 ounces per day then yeah... you should be good... just make sure its Protein based to help curb the hunger...... Protein helps to curb that hunger..... good luck and welcome to lapband land!!!!!:thumbup::rolleyes2::thumbup:

  2. I removed it...sorry...wasnt trying to cause problems...just thought others might like a chance to make a little cash while being at home recovering or whatever...

Thanks for the info you found...and have a great nite!!!!

    Carla

  3. started busting out laughing...ITS OK that you had some pizza....you are human....its not as if you ate a LARGE pizza by yourself...lol.....we still have cravings and still want the same things we wanted before we had a band...dear Lord they didnt operate on our brains...lol.....I am smiling from ear to ear....soon when you hit your sweet spot..that will all change and you will be wishing for a piece of pizza...smiling....stop beating yourself up and there is NO damage I am sure....you are fine.....Hang in there...

  4. yes...i do prepare most of my own soups....for instance..yesterday I made a homemade broccoli cheddar soup...basically....boiled some finely chopped brocolli added a can of cream chicken soup...2 cans chicken broth some cheese and some shredded has browns and let it cook down to a thin/slightly thick and ate a bowl of that...I do NOT EVER eat bread period..no crackers..no bread type of products....nothing that can ever GUMMMMYYY up in there....I can however eat popcorn (I KNOW...go figure) and it goes down just fine....so i eat that alot as a snack...I love egg salad and I make that alot because it slides on down just fine...I am just very picky with what I eat...trying to make sure that I get Proteins in as much as possible. I simply dont eat alot..that is basically the biggest part of it...I can eat green Beans if I boil them down until they are almost mushy or whatever.....but I cannot eat Pasta of any kind...baked potatoes are great...well i am just rambling....would you like me to call you...I would be more than happy to call and we can chat if you like...if so PM me your number or I can talk to you on yahoo messenger if you like and we could discuss openly there about it...whatever you like...I am here to help....

  5. I have been very successful and I appreciate your kind words. I would definitly talk to my doc about the situation if I was you. I have very little Fluid in my band and it works well for me. I have had very little fills and I have done well with that. I guess I hit my sweet spot early on.....as you can see I have updated my info and as to date I have lost 146 lbs. I eat alot of Soups and soft type of foods which works well for me. I still cannot eat bread or hamburgers or anything that is thick and full or "gummy" or whatever. I am assuming that you still have the band right? but just without any fluid?

  6. since my surgery and it was very cool to see....the doc just wanted to check out things..make sure everything was where it should be and he said it was PERFECT....:clap2: ...it was neat to see it in there..I mean I KNOW its there because the little finiky b**ch reminds me of it allllll the time :grouphug: giggling...but to see it in there kind of gave me this new reassurance or something.....I am just so grateful everything is okay..where it should be...and doing the job its supposed to do! GOD is so wonderful to me..and I am loving my band.....LOTS OF LOVE and LUCK TO ALLLLLLL

  7. Hang on...it gets easier...try to make some kind of slushies...that was a good suggestion..makes you feel like you are eating something..lol....just hang tough...before you know it it will be be 6 months like me and you will be well on your way to a whole new you..hang in there.....and good luck

  8. Everyone at some point had that feeling even if they dont always recognize it..but you did what you wanted and needed to do for you! point blank...take the time to educate your family..I bet in 2 weeks you will be on here feeling differently...hang in there and CONGRATS on coming to BANDLAND!

  9. Last night I went to my sons ballgame( he is 13 and a little Basketball star) just a proud mamma moment :) but anyway...I saw a guy there I hadnt seen in a while and he came up to me and a said "HEY SKINNY" I looked around to see who he was talking too:cry :omg: ...I said..are you talking to me? and he said YEAP...lol...well I am was dumbfounded of course and I told him that I was far from skinny and he said Girl you are looking so good and getting so skinny.......I hugged his neck:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: ...I told him that if we wasnt both married that I would marry him...lol.......:) :) :P Thanks be to God...I love LOVE THOSE NSV moments.....

  10. Every single day...I worry about every bite I put in my mouth...I worry if I weigh and I am a 1/2 lb up...I worry and stress about not walking today or exercising as I should have...YEAP...its stressful at times...sometimes I think mine stems from the fact that I did self pay and I feel guilty for paying 300.00 a month for something I wanted so bad but yet I am not taking care of it as I should....YOU are NOT alone.....I think we have stressed for so long about our weight that this is something we wanted SO DANG bad and its always on our minds.....

  11. I have never had this happen but I have read about others who have....and my doc told me that if the band could slip that easy then who would want it????? ( I am always asking him if I jog will my band slip...if I cough to hard will it slip..if I laugh to hard will it slip :heh: :heh: :heh: and he just shakes his head and laughs) but it makes sense if you think about it...I mean women get pregnant with the band (no fill/restriction of course) and they have morning sickness and their band survives..so I wouldnt think a bout with bronchitis would cause the band to slip...if I have to worry myself sick everytime I get a cold or the stomach flu that my band might slip..then I am going to sue the maker of this darn finicky band that sometimes I love and sometimes I hate....heheheheh...giggling...I think you are fine and just iritated...hang in there..do liquids for a few days and dont panic....
