His insecurity is showing. You need to approach him in a nonconfrontational way - go out for a leisurely coffee. After some casual conversation is started, just say 'hey I notice some reactions to my recent choices, and it seems to bother you - what are you worried about?' Then let him talk without making more comments.

Then give it a little time.

Do you have to shop with him? Does he control all money expenditures? Did you always ask for his input on your choices? Do you need this much approval from him?

These are all things that must be worked out along the way.

He controls all the money. So I have to ask before spending. We rarely go out as a couple, and the only time we are usually apart is when he goes to work or if I am runnjng a kid somewhere or taking care of his mother.

Ive asked him why he hates everytbing and he just says that it just isnt something he thinks i look good in.

When i ask what he would like me to wear, it always like a size or 2 larger than what Im currently wearing.

  2. OMIGOODNESS!! I am soo sick! I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Here we are, 3 months post op and I am still fighting nausea. I am scheduled to have another EGD on january 7th. Had one a month ago and had a stricture stretched. Back to nausea all the time.

Every time I eat, when I dont eat... it doesnt matter...

And there doesnt seem to be any safe foods.

Im not getting in my Protein, lucky if even get 30 grams in a day.

Have zofran, take max doses and it isnt helping.

    At my whits end.

Can anyone else suggest things to try? Foods that may help... ill try anything!!

  3. So I was warned prior to RNY surgery to be aware of the emotional changes that come along with all the changes your body is going through.

So, for the most part things have been good. No real emotional issues, supportive family. Surgery was 9-18-19. I am -62lbs.

I am very proud of it. My family seems to be proud too, but my husband is like a double edged sword.

He says I look good, but then complains if I ask to get a pair of jeans that fit better, or the fact that I need new underwear, or just looking at cloths in general. All of the sudden he hates every thing I say I like or really want. He says my tastes have changed... duh, Im dressing for different body size and type. I am not even in the plus sizes anymore. I am still dressing modest, not showing off skin... but seriously. I wanted a pair of boots, (western boots) he said why, you havent worn them before.... that is BS prior to gaining all of my weight I was jeans, t shirt, boots or tennis shoes all the time.

Why all of the sudden is what style of cloths I like or want such a big issue?

And its not just cloths... Family asking what I want for Christmas... I give suggestions then he huffs and puffs and is like ewe, why would you even like that? From patterns of dishes, to patterns on cloths, purses, shoes, wall hangings... WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING WRONG? Why is nothing I like acceptable anymore?

  4. Thank you for checking in!!

My surgeons office didnt seem very interested in this obstacle. I was told to go back to all liquids for a few days... I did call my PCP, and he informed me that when I feel like something is "stuck" to try a few sips of tolerably hot Water to see if it helps break it down a bit to help it move on through. This has helped some.

I will be 1 month post op tomorrow, and Im still terribly sore on the left side and I keep feeling "catches" and super sore, sometimes catch my breath pain that comes and goes with movement and bending. My husband says its just everything healing up on the inside. But I plan to bring it up at my next appointment on the 28th.

  5. Hi. So, I had my bypass 6.5 months ago, and my nails are in terrible shape. Peeling and splitting. I like to wear nail polish, but it just doesn't stay. A day or two after polishing them the polish starts chipping and flaking off! Any suggestions for improving my manicure? I just started taking Biotin for my nails, and Hair loss, but I'm sure it takes months to see improvement. Thanks!

I have been having the issue also with my nails. Im using sally henson strengthening clear coat/ top coat, and Essie Treat and love nail polish. When you pain your nails, put clear coat on first, then nail polish, then a clear coat again.
And Vitamin will help with nails and hair.< br>

  6. Ok Ya'll, i am just over 2 weeks post op. I ate a bit much last night at dinner, and got sick. Lesson learned. I started having some crazy pains around the tiny tummy area early this morning. I had been going stir crazy in my house so I swept the kitchen, and did a load of dishes. (Husband at work 2 teens at school)

I was still feeling ok. I went for a walk. Came in and rested a bit. However everything I eat or drink today is causing my pain and discomfort. Nausea, and some vomiting.

I tried to reach my Dr but had to leave vm. Never got a call back.

Im really kinda misserable. Feel like everything is sitting in the bottom of my throat. Anyone else ever experience this? What can I do or should I do?[emoji20]
