  1. I feel like I’m also a slow loser. I’ve averaged 8-10 pounds a month. Once I started cardio it went up to 12-14 pounds a month. Also try intermittent fasting. If you average 10 pounds a month that’ll be over 100 pounds in a year. Your doing great!! Also the average weight loss is 10-15 pounds a month after the first month.
  2. I had right sided pain for 5 weeks! I even got a CT scan everything was normal. It was just from where my stomach was removed. I couldn’t even bend over and when I rolled a certain way it hurt like hell! Hopefully yours gets better quicker than mine did. Good luck!

I HATE I GOT THIS STUPID SURGERY!

I think what your feeling is normal. I felt the same way on liquids. I was sick of liquids and I regretted the surgery. I was off work for 6 weeks and had too much time on my hands. I felt depressed, but that passed. There’s no manual or correct way to deal with wls. We all deal with is differently. Sorry for the negative Nancy’s responding because like I said there isn’t a one size fits all manual for wls. Don’t mind them 😉
  4. Premier protein chocolate flavor is by far my favorite

    I don't know what I am doing!

I’m glad you brought this up. I feel like I have a stomach of steel and I can have anything. And I mean anything! I try and just eat low carb and I’ve lost 30 pounds in 8 weeks. The doctors do recommend the diet in stages to allow your stomach to heal. I was only on clear liquids for 1 day which was surgery day and then full liquids for 2 weeks.
  6. I only track fluids and protein. Which is what I was told to track. I only eat 3-4 times a day small meals. No snacking. And low carb. I’m only 1 month post op with a loss of 20 pounds. I agree I don’t want to start tracking calories it just becomes obsessive. I do watch what I eat and honestly from counting calories in the past I do have a ball park range of what I’m eating.
  7. Bianca S You can try canned fruit, chili beans, crackers.

    LADIES ONLY PLEASE!

I started my period literally right after surgery. I have the mirena IUD and I’ve not had a period in years. Before surgery the anesthesiologist told me to use condoms for the first 2 weeks because they gave me something that can counteract birth control. I didn’t ask what it was but that could also be why you got your period.
  9. So I’ve been having severe right side pain. It is not surgical pain. I can’t even walk without pain. When I lay down the pain is gone. Has anyone else ever had this pain? I was sleeved 8/27/19 pod 6. I might go to the ER because this does not feel normal. Also, I don’t think it’s gallbladder since I don’t have fever, nausea, etc. Also, I’m wondering if it’s just muscle pain.
  10. I also had to drink 8 ounces of water for the contrast and for some reason I was able to drink it all at once and I didn’t even have stomach discomfort. I was surprised because my stomach is supposed to be so small now
  11. Thanks for the responses. I ended going to the ER. They did a CT scan and it was normal. I am going to see my surgeon tomorrow.
  12. Hi everyone. I’m 1 day post op vsg August 27th!!! I only did clears for 2 days prior to surgery and then clears the day of surgery post op. The next day and for the next two weeks I’ll be doing full liquid. I was not expecting to be so nauseas and in so much pain. I was actually regretting the surgery. The nausea was pretty bad. Luckily they save me anti nausea and pain medications. Post op day 1 everything is so much better. I didn’t really get much of the gas pains people talk about. I’m already home just spent 1 night in hospital. So far I’m so happy I did this. HW 267 SW 260 CW ? I’ll check in 1 week.
  13. 2 days of clear liquid pre op. Then 1day of clear liquid post op. Then full liquid diet. He said I should leave the hospital on a full liquid diet. Full liquid is usually for 2 weeks depending on how your doing.
  14. My surgeon only required the clear liquid diet 2 days before surgery. I’m supposed other people are doing it for so long. My surgery date is August 20th!
  15. I think the sleeve is becoming the new standard. At least that’s what my CA doc says. Less complications too.
