    Regret

Omg. Shame on you people for being so nasty. You all are acting like she is lying and your trying to play detective. That’s just horrible!! As if she isn’t stressed out enough. Sorry Celeste97 that your going through this. It will get better in time. My friend had similar experiences to you. She’s a year post op now and doing great. I’ve been lucky to have no issue at 8 months out. Hang in there. Take it day by day and ignore the negativity ❤️
  2. Be careful!! I ate a house salad and had diarrhea 6 months out!

    Weight loss slow down

Also, try intermittent fasting. It works wonders.

    Weight loss slow down

If your more than 6 months post op, you shouldn’t need shakes. My protein goal is low 50grams and I’m doing perfectly fine. Weight loss and lab wise. Don’t let people discourage you.
  5. Hi, can someone please list the link to the article about doing the head work first/success begins in the mind. It’s something like that. I really want to read that article. I can’t seem to find it and I’ve searched all over the site.

    Gastric sleeve for BMI 30

I think with your weight/height/BMI it is not too low to do surgery. Go for it!
  7. I’m glad I’m not the only one. I feel like my pouch is made from steel! I can eat anything literally. It’s been a struggle. I did dump after I ate a salad with full fat dressing. It was the first time and I’m 6 months out.
  8. I got mine the day after surgery! The anesthesiologist said it was due to a medication. I was so out of it I forgot to ask which one.

    No one has noticed ...

I think sometimes people are scared to ask too. I’ve lost 50 too and people that I see everyday don’t really notice but I seen a friend that I hadn’t seen in a couple of months before my surgery and she was like wow you lost a lot of weight. Weight is a fragile subject. Great job on the 50 pound down!

    Post op diet

Oh wow. Just be careful when you do advance. One food at a time. Eggs are a great starter when you get to soft foods.

    Post op diet

Clear liquids is what you can see through or something that will melt to liquid consistency like water. Jello will melt to water for example so is considered clears. The most common liquids are broth, jello, juices, popsicles, coffee. Full liquids are thicker like pudding, cream of wheat, thickened soups, ice cream. My doc had us on full liquids for about a month post op.
  12. Try intermittent fasting. It always does the trick! Just search it on here.

    Post op diet

Are you on clear or full liquids? Post op day 2 is when I started full liquids. I was able to have thickened soups, cream of wheat, protein shakes, pudding, jello, etc.

    Initial Consult Update

My insurance required the exact same. I have UMR

    Initial Consult Update

I would just make sure you see your doc in March for it to count for 2/6 check ins. Or if the surgeon can see you at the end of March. I believe if you skip a month it restarts. All insurances are different but just to play it safe try to get seen in March.
  16. Aww sorry your going through that. I can definitely relate. I try and meal prep for myself every 4 days. And then cook other foods for my family. If I make them spaghetti, I’ll make extra meat for me. I try and do stuff like that. I’ve been eating a lot of frozen cooked sausage like jimmy deans. It’s so easy to heat up. Probably not the best but that’s my go to. I like to buy the chicken that is individually packaged that way I won’t have to waste extra.
  17. I’m almost 6 months post sleeve and I’ve had zero complications! I did not have gerd prior to surgery either.
  18. 4inch Turkey and cheese sandwich. Ate half.
  19. Hi Crystal! I had pretty bad pain for 4 weeks. It did get better everyday. I even went to the ER a week or 2 post op and everything was fine. I guess we all heal differently and handle pain different. It’s normal. Just work your plan. I don’t have much of a support either. But BP is always here!
  20. Take as long as you can off. Sitting down and bending at your waist may hurt your stomach. I think the max is 6 weeks.
  21. No. Low carb, high protein is best. Plus those are slider foods.
  22. See what kind of insurance you have. If you have PPO go directly to to the Bariatric surgeon. That will start your first weight check in and they know the exact process. I skipped my primary.
