My surgery was 5 mths ago. Since then I have left a relationship, started a new job, fallen in love, and started a new relationship. I went from completely miserable to the happiest I've ever been. It didn't take long before my new boyfriend saw how filling up on food really hurts me and he's become even more conscientious of my eating than I am sometimes... Same with my daughter.... My point is I have full support surrounding me. I feel, however, that I have stretched my pouch in the last month. I'm able to eat a good amount of food compared to what I could eat a mth ago. I can even eat foods that I wasn't able to eat. I haven't lost weight or inches in 3 or 4 weeks. I'm really scared I've ruined it for myself. Should I do a pouch reset? Do you think it would help? Thank you in advance for any advice. [emoji171] Sent from my Z965 using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm a little over 3 mths and lately I have had a few days where I can't stop eating. I tell myself no and next thing I know it's in my hand. I ate my first candy bar. A Snickers. About 30 minutes ago. I feel sick to my stomach. I have rejected only a few things. Candy bars aren't a habit I'd get back into but even once in a while isn't worth this feeling. On those days I can't stop eating I don't know what to do. It's funny, too, because I seem to even have more room in my stomach. It's maddening. Sent from my Z965 using BariatricPal mobile app

I have read a few posts where people are talking about their weekly milk of magnesia day... How many people do this? Is it something people do regularly regardless or only when they feel "backed up" ? Sent from my Z965 using BariatricPal mobile app

Thank you so much! [emoji4][emoji171] I didn't think the surgery worked for the first 2 mths plus until I took that 3 mth picture and put it next to my starting picture. It makes me so excited to think of what the next coming months will bring! Sent from my Z965 using BariatricPal mobile app

Thank you!!! I get about 500 calories give or take. My nutritionist said not to worry about my calories just mainly my protein so I get that in for sure. I walk 3 nights a week and do a cardio boxing workout on my Wii on nights I don't walk. I only started working out a few weeks ago and it really makes me wish I was working out this whole time... Since I added the workout to my walking my weight loss has started moving so quickly it's unreal to me. I just lost 10 pounds in a week. I don't want to stop lol. I love them so much that I also put them in individual bags lol. It's definitely a great idea. [emoji3] Sent from my Z965 using BariatricPal mobile app -
I'm a night worker, too. I walk to and from work because it's around the corner but I find it a lot easier to exercise right after work. I'll get home, change, and go right back out to walk. Sometimes it's hard to get the motivation after I wake up or before work so it really works best even after working all night. It's my wind down. Meals I usually eat within an hour of being awake. Then I eat about every 4 hours. I do have one shake a day which I save for when I know it's going to he hard to get a break to eat. I almost always have some sort of small snack ... Pistachios are my favorite but I don't eat a lot of them because they sit kind of heavy in my stomach which, ironically, is also the reason I choose them... I don't feel full so quickly. It doesn't always work so picture perfect but trying to stick to a time schedule works for me. Good luck [emoji171] I hope you find something that works for you. I don't ever really feel like I do either. I just didn't know if it was something I should be doing. Sent from my Z965 using BariatricPal mobile app

My mom was sleeved 2 years ago in September. I was sleeved this year May 21. My mom has always been an incredible cook and baker. We come from a long line of Sicilian women who love to cook and eat. This surgery has for sure changed her life and how she cooks and bakes and I've only just started figuring all of this stuff out. Tell me why, though, she will not only bring the not-so-bariatric-friendly food she makes to my house but on top of that bake me a whole loaf of banana bread? ??? She knows it's my favorite so that's nice of her but a whole loaf? I have a 13 year old who is obese and I've changed her diet as well. My mom knows all of these things. She said, "You can have a little piece and it won't hurt you. After that use self-control." Sigh... I ate a little piece of it. IT MADE ME VOMIT so I suppose self-control won't be an issue. I never want to see banana bread again. I've been sick all day. It's not the first time she has done this kind of thing. I just don't know why she does it. I don't understand why she doesn't remember the beginning of her journey. Why would she even want to tempt me or my daughter? I have even talked to her about it. Okay, I'm sorry. Rant over. I just really needed to vent to some people who may understand my frustration. I am, too, disappointed in myself. Sent from my Z965 using BariatricPal mobile app

I really don't know. How sad is that? I wouldn't like to think so but who even knows besides her. Sent from my Z965 using BariatricPal mobile app

Yeah I definitely need to talk to her and definitely don't need to eat it or have it in my house. My boyfriend ended up eating it [emoji53] but he needs to eat right as well. I've been excited about the way my family eats the last few months. Even proud. My daughter lost 10 pounds. She should get all of this. I'll try again. Sent from my Z965 using BariatricPal mobile app

You know what? She does keep saying she has this extra 10 pounds that she has to lose again but I never gave it much thought. I just figured weight fluctuates. Sent from my Z965 using BariatricPal mobile app

I got sleeved on May 21. I'm a few days away from my 2 mth mark and I'm down 30 pounds. When I was cleared for a regular diet at the 6 week mark I gained 5 pounds but have since then lost it again. I've already hit a stall that lasted 2 weeks. I'm a really fast eater and it's been difficult to slow it down. My nutritionist said to separate my meals into halves and leave one half in the kitchen. After I finish the first half, time 10 minutes on the clock and go back for the other half if I'm still hungry. I messed up for a week and ate a few bad things plus eating quickly makes me feel gorged. I was afraid I was stretching my new stomach but I was reassured by my nutritionist that I haven't. I haven't had much of a problem eating anything besides dairy and orange juice. Dairy makes me feel yucky but oj makes me vomit. It's the only thing I've found so far that makes me get sick. My other problems are just due to getting too full too fast. I had been so scared that I messed up and that I wasn't losing enough but my nutritionist made me feel so good. I am clear to eat 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of food and getting a half cup down seems impossible most days. (Although twice I have eaten that much and felt so full I wanted to cry.) Basically I really worried for nothing. Sometimes we psych ourselves out and it's hard not to. Support from the right people goes a long way. I hope this can somehow help someone out there. We got this! Sent from my Z965 using BariatricPal mobile app

That's the one part of it all that makes me so confused and upset. And just under 2 years... That's pretty new. She's not dumb. Ugh I just have to sit her down again and keep it as real as I can and try to get her to understand. I'll definitely keep you all posted on the outcome. Sent from my Z965 using BariatricPal mobile app
