  1. Well I have a slip. I was a little surprised as I have been able to eat without PBing, vomiting or nausea. I had a bout of the stomach flu about 6 weeks ago but felt OK bandwise after but the acid reflux must have started about that time. I am completely unfilled for 6 weeks and then will need another UGI and hopefully it will have repaired itself and I can begin the fill process again. My goal is to maintain during this 6 weeks.

  2. Maggie,

This same thing is now happening to me. I had my band almost 5 yrs ago. Never had acid reflux or any problems like that. But, now I can't sleep - I wake up with the same problem bile coming up and also thru my nose. Sorry, really gross but true. Did removing some of the fill work for you?

I have lost all of my weight and cannot believe I am just now having this kind of problem.

I have been banded over 2 years and this same this is happening to me. I have been anticipatiing a much needed fill for a month now (apt is tomorrow April 7) and now I changed my appt to an Upper GI and more than likely at least a partial unfill. I hope I get some answers tomorrow having AR all night long is exhausting!!!!

  3. I have been experiencing reflux at night and it is terrible and my band is not too tight in fact I really need a fill and am scheduled for one on Tuesday. Being aware that this is one signal of a too tight bad I have been a little leary that getting a fill will only increase the reflux. I am 2 years out and my mother (never overweight) has suffered with AR for most of her adult life.

  4. I am 2 years post op .... have lost 101 pounds and recently have been experiencing acid reflux at night. I cannot imagine living with it long term UGH!!!!! I finally broke down and bought some Prilosec OTC and finally today after taking it for 3 days feel like ME again. The nights awake and miserable were wearing on me. Anyone develop AC GERD like this?

  5. I too have done WDW years ago and discontinued the program for similiar reasons as noted above. I agree that healthier eating and excercise are important however do like her concept of of eating when hungry and stopping when comfortably full something my band helps me to do...

  6. KVONBE -Wow you have really done well!! Congrats. I was banded on 4/30 and will not have my first fill until 6/10. What have you been doing to keep the weight coming off? I am taking a trip in late November and would really love to see some major improvements on the scale!! God Bless!!

Did you note that I had my surgery in 2007 I am over a year out? I have considered my self to be a fairly slow but consistent loser. I generally lose a half pound a week with some more and some less. I have had a couple of plateaus as well. I try to change up my excercise routine as I get bored pretty easily right now I am doing "Walk away the Pounds" and enjoy that!!

  7. I just wanted to introduce myself as I am new here and very excited to have a forum specifically for Christians I look forward to getting to know you all!!!

I had my surgery on Feb 1, 2007. I have lost 67.5 pounds and have 36.5 pounds I would like to lose.
