    Any September Sleevers?

I have not seen anything new post from her. I'm glad your nausea is at bay. Have you tried adding different flavoring to your water. I seem to tolerate flavored water better than just plain water. Chicken broth, sugar free jello, sugar free popsicles. Hang in there ... it gets easier. September Sleevers???

I had my surgery the same day. I can't walk a full 30 minutes yet ... my doctor said two 15 minutes walk a day is fine. I am gradually extending my walks in my neighborhood by driveways. I add 3-4 driveways each day. But the low calories seems to make me a little bit more breathless then normal. Just keep moving is the important part. Any September Sleevers?

I'm 2 weeks and 3 days post opt. I could not stop thinking about food either. I was wondering if they even taken my stomach out. It takes awhile for your brain to catch up to your stomach. It was about 10-12 days post opt when it fully subsided. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Any September Sleevers?

The pain medication has a huge affect on BP and blood glucose. I had just had saline fluids because of my diabetes. Glad your feeling well. Today is the first day I have not felt hunger or had any cravings. I think my head finally caught up with my surgery. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Any September Sleevers?

I'm 4 days post-op too. I am not having trouble drinking or getting my protein or fluids in. I am sure the incision pain is gone for you since you had c-sections. Mine has subsided. I have been using ice-packs. My incision hurts when I get up and my belly weight succumbs to gravity. I did stay ahead of the pain in the hospital when it was time for pain meds I took them. I did take them the first night home. I have a high tolerance for pain. I had 3 natural child births. No epidural and no pain meds. I did ask for pain medication when I had my first child but the answer I got was "sorry your 8 cm you can't have pain meds." By my 3rd the nurse was watching my contractions on the monitor and said "I have never seen anyone in labor so calm and serene." So, it's a good comparison reference for me. What's the best thing you have experienced since surgery? I am type 2 diabetic. I was diagnosed when I was a 108 lbs and I was 38 yrs old. So far my blood glucose has been reading awesome. I have to keep myself from crying ( happy tears). My blood sugars would run almost to 190 after a protein shake. And I was taking 2 different oral medications, tresiba injections, and humalog. I am not taking anything[emoji7]! I'm praying that trend continues. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

I never thought I would appreciate being on the loser bench. Lost 5 lbs since surgery. 2 days out and still doing well. I meet my protein goal, my liquids, my walking, and used the incentive spirometer. I'm managing my pain with ice packs. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Any September Sleevers?

Hello September Sleevers!! Had my surgery yesterday. Though I am far from an expert I want to stress a few points. When your reading comments from veteran sleevers and you find a pattern of the same responses do them. I have read walk walk walk to help with the gas pain. It helped A LOT. Also, sip sip sip ... incredible useful sipping away on clear fluids. Walking even helped my pain where the small incision was. If your in pain don't try to be tough and bare through it. Stay ahead of the pain. Ice packs ... feels so good. It's almost 24 hours since I was rolled off to surgery. And all those repeated advice points helped alot. I know it differs from person to person. I hope this helps to ease some anxiety for those who are waiting. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Any September Sleevers?

Me too !! I really have very small support network. I live in Oklahoma with my 2 daughters (16 yrs & 12 yrs old), my mother 76, who moved from New England to live with me. She could not afford to keep up the childhood home. So she sold it and moved in with me. My son moved to Colorado 2 weeks ago for his second year of college and has his 1st apartment. My husband lives and works in North Carolina. He retired from the military the beginning of my son's senior year in high school. He had changed schools 11 times. So I stayed. And now the girls want to stay here. All my military friends moved back home or moved to different military bases. Argh ... sorry I tend to ramble on when I'm nervous and I can't eat.
