my husband and i are going to fly back to the us on the 31st. Thank goodness we aren't going through Newark like we usually do. Hopefully things will have calmed down by the time we fly though.

Mine also shipped out today. It says that it will arrive on the 18th. Mine is going past the mason dixie line as well....ya'll!

hum... i didnt think about that, maybe i do need to drink more, ive been trying to drink more water.

We are going to be selling our house with in the next year as well and we are doing the same thing. We have a spare room that is empty so we are putting all our stuff in it, boxing up all our decorations, pictures fancy dishes in the buffett and that sort of thing to make the house look cleaner and neater. All our walls are painted the same color a pale yellow with the trim done in white. we are going to try to sell it with out an agent first, but we will see how that goes. Also we have a specific time that we have to be out because we are moving to the US so we are going to have to negotiate a closing for the month that we are leaving. I have a similar horror story about my mom, she had a contract to sell her home as well and was already ready to do the closing on her new home. At the last min she found out her buyers wern't approved and she was missing her $20,000 downpayment for the closing of her new house. She ended up taking a cash advance on her credit card to make her downpayment. In experienced relators should be shot. They made what is already a stressful situation way worse.

Hi Everyone, I've been experiencing a problem and I just wanted to check what everyone else thinks. It's been quiet hot here in Portugal and I find that if I stay out in the heat for any length of time I get nauseous. It doesn't matter if I've just eaten or not, but if I get hot it seems like after 10/15 min I get sick to my stomach and I feel like throwing up. (I haven't thrown up but I feel like it) What do you guys think? Any one else had this problem?

I don't want to be a downer, but you don't sound very sure of yourself. What is all this, its not ment to be stuff? Either u want the surgery or you don't. If you want it then you will find a way to work it out. If you don't want it then ur efforts are futile. You need to decide if you really want this or not. Waffling in between and saying things like it's not ment makes it sound like your not really ready to commit to such a big step. You should make sure you REALLY want this before going ahead, otherwise you might find it a lot more difficult.

I really liked this article, and I cant believe people posted comments like that.. you know people need to get back to basics, if you cant say something nice, don't say anything at all...with all the problems with obesity these days i'm shocked that people still treat it as a stigma.

I'm interested to see the responses here. I too carry most my weight in my stomach and I'm VERY AFRAID of having to have another surgery. I'm a big baby. I'd like to hear from those of you that had the tummy tuck done...how painful it was etc...

Wow Susan, sorry about your port, that really sucks! We will be thinking about you! picardy3, i use to love six flags, thats great! I really haven't lost much since the inital loss after surgery, so im going to try to be good until i get my next fill, but its hard when your on vacation so i will have to be extra careful when im in the US next month. But I'm going to stock up on crystal light and protein shakes.

Shopping is always the fun part!! But when in doubt....gift card!!!!

They won't know how much they are hurting you until you tell them. Next time they say something speak up for yourself. I think this post was supposed to be about what we take for granted...not what we are thankful for...however its nice to know what every one is thankful for as well.

I'm putting a spin on things....things I took for granted but no longer do because my situation is quiet the opposite of dawgs. 1. AC - I had central AC in florida, now I sleep with a fan and I'm fine with it, in fact its probably healthier. 2. Screens - we have what you would call....storm shutters on our window. the have slits so they can keep the bugs out, but they also close completly to block the sun. You can sleep in mid afternoon in complete darkeness. 3. Car parking - Here if you find a spot any where with in a mile of your destination your doing good. In the US you can usually get a spot right up front of any place your going to.

A lot of men feel threatened when their wives start looking better. I think it's natural. You guys could probably benefit from some counsling, he's been through a rough time, but your responsibility is to yourself and your health first. I would keep reassuring him, but he has to work it out for himself, people only change when they want to, we can't make them.

Hey all, I haven't been around much lately but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. I've only lost around 20lbs since my surgery on April 26th. I keep gaining and losing the same 4lbs as well. I have only had 1 fill and at this point I have no restriction. I need another one, but my doc is on vacation this month and next month I'm going back to the states for 3 weeks, so probably only in October will I be able to get another fill. I have promised myself that when I get back from vacation I am going to get down and dirty! :heh: I am bringing the treadmill out into the living room and I am not going near a bag of Doritos. Scouts Honor!! I'll post a few pics later, 20lbs makes a difference on my face so most people can tell. I have made it my ultimate goal to be at 150lbs by July 2007....more on that later...the bell rang...time to go teach!!

Hello there, Welcome to LBT I'm sure you will find lots of information here. If you want more specific help about the Virgina area, there is another section of the forum for regional topics. Just look for your state. I'm sure you will find people in your area. I'm not sure how things work there in the US, but here in Portugal where I got mine done, if your going private and paying for it urself, you can pretty much name the date you want. However if the insurance is paying I think your more at the discression of the doctors office and when they have an available slot. It greatly depends on your doctor. Congrats on your decision and good luck with your process!

No problem, its fun for me too, the best part is that this time, I'm going to be in the US on Sept. 4th so no one has to ship my gift overseas!! Also my wedding anniversary is Sept 6th so its all good!

ahh thank goodness, thats exactly what it feels like...I'm glad im not the only one...damn my laziness, i should have got out of the car.
