I just to say thank you thank you thank you to Moon Goddess. She sent me the coolest Halloween stuff!! I got a teddy bear with a a cute Halloween sweater. I LOVE IT! I collect stuffed animals. I got a cool Halloween coffee mug. A frog with a witches hat on it, 6 Halloween magnets, and a Halloween wind twirler. Perfect for hanging out side to decorate for Halloween. She also managed to find a Halloween themed secret pal card. Very cool! I'm so excited to be moving back to the states where I can Celebrate Halloween again. They don't celebrate it here in Portugal. Thanks again Moon Goddess, your the best!!

Hey Teri, My husband is Portuguese so we have been living in Portugal for the past 3 years. But we have recently decided to try living in the US, so the plan for now is to go back in July of next year. I can't wait because I really miss my family and the idea of moving back home makes me happy. I love Portugal, but you know what they say, there is no place like home!

I didn't join a Curves, I joined something similar to it here in Portugal. What I wanted was information on the actual exercise itself.

I'm not totally clear on this point either. My doctor does mine in the radiology department of the hospital, and uses what I assume is an X-ray. I'm not sure if this is the same as flouro or not.... I don't pay more for this and there is a table that is standing up, I stand on it, and they rotate it until I am laying down. Then there is a little screen that takes little 30 second video of my stomach and the doctor uses that as well as pushing around my belly to find the port.

Welp I went and saw the doctor today, and I didn't have a problem at all. He said, so how are things going, and I said, the same, I haven't lost any more, and he said...well then you need a fill. And that was that. No grilling me about what I'm eating or the type of exercise I'm doing. Maybe he was just having a bad day last time?? Any way I'm scheduled for a fill on the 27th so hopefully things will pick up from there!

Welp, I have gone twice this week now and I plan on going 2 more times. Wednesday is my day off during the week. I loved it! Every one was really friendly and I go in the morning so it's mostly older women. They were playing..Guess Heather's nationality!! Some thought I was German or Russian or Swiss! I was like...hello...fat...blonde....American!! Fat blondes are the stero type in Europe for Americans. And they think all we eat is hamburgers and hotdogs and wash it down with coke! Any way, the trainer was really nice and I have never sweat so much my entire life in such a short amount of time, and I never slept so good as I did after the first day. I really like it and I plan on sticking to it 4 times a week. Woody's - thanks for the tips those came in handy, and they were saying the same stuff there. I actually walk a few blocks to get there so that is kinda like my warm up, and then they have some cool down stretches that we do when we finish the rotations. They have us going around 3 times. Then of course I walk back.

Mine went out yesterday so it should arrive in about a week or so. Thats how long things usually take from here. I hope my GG likes it!

um...can you say..insane! In florida we aren't allowed to use any thing like that as punishment for talking. A teacher at a school I was working at got let go because he made his students stand in a line outside the classroom door for talking....

just tell them u and ur sister are doing a sisters get away weekend, you can even tell them its in mexico...and then as for the weight loss later on, just tell them that your exercising and making better eating choices, which will all be true... good luck!

The first few weeks after surgery are for healing, not for losing weight. Losing weight during this time is a bonus. I wouldn't push yourself to much in this time and give your body time to recuperate. Are you on solids already? Can you swallow your vitamins whole?

Okay, I need a little support on what to say to my doctor. First of all he's never been overly friendly but he's nice and I trust him. But he's not the guy I would talk to about my cats or something because he just doesn't talk much. About 3 months after my surgery I told him I wanted a fill. He pretty much grilled me, about what I had been eating, how much exercise I had been doing, was I following all the rules, etc. and reluctantly (or so it seemed to me) agreed to a fill. That was 3 months ago, I'm almost at the 6 month mark and I have had only 1 fill and I still have a normal appetite and I haven't lost any more then the initial 20lbs I lost. I haven't gained, but I haven't lost either. Because of his reaction to the first time I asked for a fill I'm kind of afraid to go back and tell him I haven't lost any thing and I want another fill. I'm afraid he's going to grill me again, and to be honest I haven't been the best banster I could be, and I don't want to lie to him about what I've done. But I'm afraid if I tell him the truth that he will refuse me a fill until I do exactly what he wants. Any opinions on this?

Hey everyone, I just thought it would be nice to hear some stories and tips from everyone about how they broke their old habits and got into new better ones. If you have a story or any tips about how to make it through a meal with out drinking, or how you choose that healthy food over the unhealthy one, or how you got into your exercise routine and kept it up, or any thing to do with making the better you, we would love to hear it!

Hey everyone, I joined a "gym" today that just opened a few blocks from my apartment. It's called VivaFit and they specialize in 2 things. One is Pilate's and the other is a 30 min program that is done on hydraulic machines. There is a circle of machines and you start the circle and spend 30 seconds on each machine, the entire round should last 30 min. They say that if you do it a min of 3 times a week your guaranteed weight loss. It's geared for women and is a women's only institute. The girl there told me that they have something similar in the US called Curves? Has any one heard of this? Has any one tired it? How were the results?? Any thing any one has to add would be great! Thanks!

Hi Teri, Welcome! I am currently in Portugal but I am from the Orlando area and I'm moving back this summer. Congrats on your surgery. I know what that old appetite feels like, its a hard to get rid of all your old habits and get use to the band ways. Good luck and keep us posted!

1. I don't see what exactly your questions is. Whether or not you have grammatically pinpointed what exactly Ebonics is? Or why is Ebonics used in the first place? Hi there, I would ask your doctor. Some doctors include fills in the price that the patient pays for the surgery. Some times insurance will cover the cost, and sometimes you need to pay out of pocket, and I have heard the prices have a huge range from like $100-$500. Although I think paying more then $250 for a fill is too much. But again it depends on your area and your doctor. Your best bet is to ask. Good Luck!
