I’ve been trying to keep busy so that I’m not aware of my hunger. One saving grace for me was that I did Keto diet since Jan 2 (had to have my pork, greens, and cornbread on the 1st- I am from Georgia afterall!!) Anywho- Keto makes you less hungry. Unfortunately only consuming 900 calories a day counteracts that. Hahaha Overall it was a good visit- but I have two questions so I’m calling Monday. Am I supposed to keep the hospital band they gave me on and the paperwork from the surgeon says I’m supposed to bring a breathing thing they were to give me but I didn’t get one.... questions only for the hospital!! I’ll be around tho- you know I can’t stay away!! Just know when I’m on here I’m prob stuffing my face with either sugar free jello or sugar free popsicles. Hahaha

I had my preop yesterday as well. I had to have an ekg and as the lady hooked me up my stomach gurgled. I giggled and the nurse told me it happens all the time. Hahaha

My doc scared the bajesus out of me- he cancelled a surgery because the liver hadn’t shrunk enough (or he said he did). This two wheel liquid diet is for the birds. Almost halfway though!

Getting antsy myself and I’ve got a week to go. Hospital preop today so we shall see but after that I’m going to get a pedicure. I’m sorry, but my toes have to be looking good! (It’s my one guilty pleasure)

Jello & sugar free popsicles. That’s what I can have as many as I want if and I had 5 of each yesterday (day 2). Oh and sugar free gum.... that’s helped. But gurl, the worst part is fixing dinner for my girls! I just keep telling myself that I’m doing it for them- I want to see them graduate, get married or have kids. How many senior citizens do you see who are my size? Not many!

That’s it??? I’m on liquid diet an man, I could just use something to chew on! I’m not sure I can last 12 more days!!

And I woke up with a scratchy throat and ear pain.... no sniffles. Calling the doctor tomorrow, but any idea of what to do to stay healthy? I don’t want to postpone things.

I just might. I work at a middle school and I really don’t want to catch what they have.

Hope fully your doctor has a nutritionist. I would call and explain. Maybe you need to be taking a vitamin or something.

Good luck to you! My orders also say to bring something they will give me at the hospital preop. It’s a device to measure breathing. I have scoliosis and had back surgery as a kid- that thing was the bane of my existence. Hopefully it won’t be as bad this time. I won’t have metal hardware being placed in me.

Just checked my doctors notes and the SURGERY is 7:30. I have to BE there at 6am.

GORL! I got an IUD this past summer so no cycles. No cycles, not PMS. It’s. Amazing. Taking a pregnancy test 1/24 though (JIC) but I couldn’t get pregnant 10 years ago when I was 50lbs lighter than I am now so I seriously doubt it.

As I was typing that, I got an email that my surgery was scheduled for 7:30am on 1/27. Cool.

My hospital preop is also Jan 17! I have my one week appt on 2/4 🤨. On one hand I’m ready (bags already packed) but I’m nervous.

Pretty much. My surgery isn’t for two weeks but my bag is packed and that’s what is in it.

Preop with the surgeon today!! I now have my preop/hospital appointment and I am stoked. Sooo ready for 1/27! Not ready for 1/13 to start liquid diet, but I’ll muster through somehow!

I’m taking a group of students to Disney World for 3 days 2 months post op. Thanks for this post. I’ve been watching it and getting excited.

I’ve cleaned out my closet, all my drawers, organized my linen closet, organized the attic and put Christmas away. I go back to work Monday fro the holidays so that will occupy a lot! 3 work weeks then it will be here.

So true about hospital germs on my shoes. They are Walmart slides with a fizzy top but I don’t want to track yucky stuff home!

One week? Lucky! I have to do it for two! I start Jan 13,
