Canadian Challange
Well we can always do both, an exercise and a weight amount goal.

i threw up cottage cheese
Kim, Ya, I think you should call TLBC tommorow and get them to be very specific for you. You should know exactly what to eat and drink. I don't no about diet pop, but I know Yoda didn't like cottage cheese either and she just ate yogurt. I can't help you, I was on opti-fast shakes for 3 weeks for Dr. Cobourn. Different Dr. different diet, that's why you should call them personally and find out.:huggie:

Exercise would work good for me too. That is the one thing that I havnt quite gotten too, and I'm sure it would speed things up for me. So I can vote for that. Keep more ideas rolling in though. BTW:I could easily burns some calories with Brad:kiss2: .

Dday
I was told by the nutritionist that the headache is from carb and suger withdrawl, so if your doing atkins, I guess that would make sense. Remember it's only temporary.

Banded over a year and having trouble!!
hey kim, I seem to be able to tolerate carbonation, but I try not to because I love coke.

Dday
Kim, I don't want to freak you out, but don't be surprised if you get a headache either tommorow or the next day. It only lasts a day, just take tylenol and go to bed if you can, it won't last long. And if your lucky, it won't happen at all:)

YOU CAN DO IT! YOU CAN DO IT! YOU CAN DO IT! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2::cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Kim, honestly you can do this!!!! It just may be not as hard as you think. It's only two weeks! If you go back now and quit, where will you be in a few months. Collect some strength, from yourself, from us, from wherever and do this. In two weeks it gets alot easier with the surgery behind you. You can do this! P.S. I had to lose about 20 lbs before my scale worked, so I know what you mean about humiliating. But.........................YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!:tea:

Canadian Challange
What Canadians are up for a challenge? I'm thinking the month of August, lets set some goals. I'm not a computer person, but someone could keep track of everyone joined up. Lets get some ideas going this week. What do ya say Canada?:canada:

miserable and need support
Good Morning Kim, First of all your not just bitchen, that why we are all here, FOR EACH OTHER. When I decided to go thru with surgery I can't believe that Burger King didn't run out of food! I stuffed like I never stuffed before, it was horrible, just with the anticipation. I had to do 3 weeks of liquid diet for Dr. Cobourn. I honestly didnt think I could do it. BUT I DID! And you can too. When you only have an "X" amount of days to do it, you can, honestly. As far as the man goes, I always hesitate to give advice, but he'll either be there for you or he won't. Maybe the way you are feeling right now is not "so bad" if it gets you to the other side. Instead of focusing at your situation now, why not picture yourself a year from now after being banded, lost a WHOLE LOTTA WEIGHT, and who knows what else. It's totally normal to be scared before surgery, we ALL were. But were here to tell ya, it will be okay, YOUR GONNA BE GREAT. Hang in there Kim! Keep in touch!

I'm going for my first fill on Wed...
Hi Buffie, thats great the doc got it the 1st time. Hope you'll get the restriction you want!

Cheating..No, not with food!
My husband and I have been married for 17 years, I have never cheated nor wanted too, either has he. However, since being banded, as I loose weight, when we "get together" I always tease him he's with another women, because theres always some where on me thats getting smaller!!

A thread for super-sized bandsters - starting BMI over 50?
Don't be discouraged. You'll find a surgeon that will work. Besides you add in the pre-op diet and you'll practically be at 400 I bet. Don't give up!!

Skeletons still there
If I could put myself on a pedestal, I would. Then I wouldn't have a band, and I wouldn't be here, neither would you or anyone else. I'm just trying to relate life's experiences. I may have misunderstood, but I thought we were all here to help on another. I have not only helped others with issues, but they have helped me. I thought that is the way it worked, maybe I'm wrong, dunno.

Skeletons still there
Me too, I sometimes wish I could take the band out just for a moment to shove some food in my face like before. How sick is that!! I do miss that feeling of "ahhh" as half a plate of food is going down my throat:wacko: . I am one sick puppy:dog: I tell ya. The funny thing is that when I'm on track,I'm REALLY on track. No in-betweens for me!

Lap-Band Commercial in Canada
Sandee, I heard this saying once, and it works for everything. "If you keep doing what your doing, you'll keep getting what your getting". It's a good phrase to work with. I'm not trying to tell you to do anything. Only you know weather you've exhausted all means. This is your personal journey, Dig Deep. Food for thought:hungry: , .

Skeletons still there
Note: Long-winded storey!!!! I have had a very unusual day today, thought I'd share. Yes my skeletons are still there, but they are very shaken!! My storey started last night. My family was hosting a BBQ with another family. I really enjoy the company of this family, most times, but every now and then....not so much. They arrived and it was obvious they were fighting, I hate that! Moving on from that, what she said she was bringing, she didn't. Moving on from that, the whole night seemed to be in a rush, even though they didn't leave until after midnight. She started BBQing before I even made the salad. Started serving dessert before I even finished dinner (now, Im gonna give her this one, cause I do take alot longer to eat). Then kept complaining when we took to long to play our hands when we were playing cards. Through-out the night were the glares from the two of them, back and forth. AAAAHHHHHH, this was a beautiful Saturday night, no pressure, nowhere to go, WHAT"S THE RUSH! When they left, it was a relief, but I tossed back and forth all night, and woke up this morning in a crappy mood. So moving on......I ate junk last night like chips and coke etc... normally I would allow myself that for a treat, not a big deal, but when I weigh myself this morning I've gained 4 lbs, again not a big deal, I do this alot, and with one good day I can lose it. But because of my mood etc.. I paved they way for my old skeletons to return. Some of you may know, some not, that before my Band I was not only a binger, but a drive-thru junkie. So......after a shitty evening, a shitty nights sleep, a shitty scale reading, I proceeded to have cheescake for breakfast:( , 1 hour later a leftover hot dog:(. I felt so bad I just lied on the couch pouting:cry . In the afternoon I had to pick-up my daughter in town and I headed straight to the drive-thru. I ordered a Big Mac meal, SUPERSIZED:omg: . Took the time to add salt and about 10 packets of ketchup on fries. I ate the Big Mac, but when I was finished I noticed I had picked off most of the bun as I ate, I couldnt eat fast, and I couldn't even attempt the fries or drink. I LOVE MY LAP-BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, even though I havn't been perfect today, as far as diet. It could have been 50 times worse. I obviously am still letting things get to me, and I have to find other ways of dealing, but what a lesson. Tommorow is going to be a great day! I tried to keep this as short as possible, I hope I havn't bored anyone to death!

Hey JUDE048!
oh jade, I feel terrible. I don't even know what to tell you. I can't imagine how frustrating this must be. Maybe take a day to get angry and upset, then first thing monday morning get on the phone and call your doc, the surgeon, any specialist, inlist everyone to get to the bottom of this. It can't NOT happen, but how frustrating is this!!
