  1. Hi friends, I went in to surgery at 730 sharp. I think I was in recovery by 11ish. Can’t remember with all the drugs lol. I am so happy to be well. They are monitoring my blood levels due to my hx of Iron deficiency anemia. I am certain my hemoglobin is normal. I feel great with the assistance of meds of course. Seriously, thank God for FaceTime ! I can speak with my loved ones and feel as though they are here with me. Hope you are all well.
  2. Thank you ☺️ @AlishaD. I hope you feel better soon. I’m here. Sooo soo excited. Lol
  3. I cant sleep! I have to leave my apartment by 430 AM. Whats the point of sleeping ahh. Good luck to everyone who is having surgery today. Speedy recovery. Cheers to a healthier version of us :hugs:
  4. Thats awesome @groovymommy! We can see the ticker, it works . just FYI, you can only see it via webpage not on the APP. I just received my surgery time. I have to report to the hospital tomorrow at 5:30 AM. Holy moly, I am first to have surgery. This journey took a year and now the time is here
  5. @MaybeMeow Hi! congrats on your 20lbs loss, you're doing great! I hope your labs all come back normal. I am sending good vibes your way. I hope that pain doesn't return. I am doing well. I am actually having my surgery tomorrow, as it was postponed from 6/29. I am excited and slightly nervous. Please keep us posted. The support here is so healthy and amazing to have during our process and beyond.
  6. oh no! Thats tough. You got this tho
  7. good luck to you too same here, revision 7/23
  8. I just returned from completing my Covid test. Wasn't bad at all.
  9. That’s great!! Good luck everyone who is having surgery today. Woohoo.
  10. hey I know Marc bessler. He is chilled and straight to the point. I think they should offer more support to their patients. Its a good choice, as you are in good hands with him. I had a procedure done with him. I did go there for my consultation to my revision. However, my gut just said naaaaah, go to Lenox Hill. As mentioned, great doctor! I just don't like the vibe of the office staff, but that's petty lol. Trust your gut and ask him and his NP lots of questions.
  11. I cant wait to be healthier! I cant wait to wear my slim days clothes again, especially my faux leather motorcycle jacket. I cant wait to start running again and add to my collection of medals. I cant wait to proudly walk with my child and just feel good about myself.
  12. good news! I did my urine culture and urinalysis, all cleared!!!! I went to an urgent care clinic. I couldn't resist. I will be back to my PCP's office on Tuesday. Covid test tomorrow at 7am.
  13. Hey everyone. Ok so Monday I go for my Covid test. Tuesday I redo my urinalysis which determines if I have surgery or not. I really don’t understand being denied if someone is on antibiotics. I am also asymptomatic. Just going to pray on it. Delayed by covid, Anemia and Hopefully not UTI :(
  14. Thank you Dream, I just finished speaking to my surgeon's PA she also agrees I should wait. If needed they will push me up to the following week.
  15. I feel so defeated. Cant stop crying. After delaying my surgery due to Covid and again due to chronic Anemia. I raised my hemoglobin to a 12.1...my PCP informed me I have a UTI and won't clear me until the UTI is gone. I am now on Cipro and drinking a lot of water. I have to see PCP again Tuesday..surgery is Thursday. I don't even know what to do.
  16. Back from my PCP visit. My doc gave me lots of positive vibes today. Hopefully she clears me tomorrow when she receives my labs ♥️♥️♥️ I am so nervous.
  17. good luck to everyone joining the journey this week! Sending good vibes I am having my pre-op tomorrow, hopefully my PCP is kinder lol. I have to do my covid test in 1 week. I had Covid in April with "mild" symptoms, positive antibody. I am hoping my test is negative and that my antibodies will offer some protection. I will keep folks posted about my hemoglobin (to help others who didn't get medical clearance due to this). I am praying its at an 11 and above. The Hematologist believe it should be a 12 or close to 12 by tomorrow.? Also, I have a 2 day pre-op liquid diet. However, I will do a 7 day liquid diet beginning this Wednesday.
  18. I doubt they will make you do everything again, so long as certain examinations are done within a specific time period. For example, with my insurance, my psycheval could not be older than 6 months. However, due to Covid they were ok with it being at almost the one year mark. I was approved in 2 days. I switched insurance in January 2020, began the process in June/July 2019.
  19. its getting real!! 2 more weeks and I am on the other side. I am so excited for all of us.
