What brand do you have/use? I see so many varieties on Amazon....i'm afraid to get the wrong one.

I definitely want the belt and the shorts. And you're absolutely right it's about the consistency. :)

Don't know if you're on FB or INSTAGRAM, but that's how I learned about them. The brand I currently use is GOTYGOTY (stands for Girl Of The Year).

    Their site is:

    http://gotygotyplus.com

There's another that one day I'd like to test run called BodyFix (also on IG) & their site is:

    www.shopthebodyfix.com

Both companies show pics & videos of men & women (mostly gals) wearing/ using their gear! 😊👍 Btw, if/ when you purchase & wear these garments, wear a tee shirt or tank top under it and their arm bands; thin material leggings under their shorts/capris. Not just to see how much of a sweat you worked up & it keeps you motivated. But also you don't want the garment's underside against your skin. I'm VERY sensitive & break out almost from anything. I found that out. 😥😖

Also, these hotgear items need to be HAND WASHED & DRIP DRY. Machine wash and dry on any light cycle can damage the materials within the fabric's fibers that help you to pull that perspiration from your body. They go into detail on their sites.

    Toodles.

Check 'em out if you wish. Yeah, that's my pics below. Cheers & all the best. I tried to post screenshots, but had trouble. Oh well

I've never heard of a hotgeat tank top or a hotgear wrap belt untl now. How have those been helping you since you got them?

I've slowly gotten back into the gym. I was cleared to finally be able to work on my core but ever so gently.

I'll see how that goes starting this weekend. I've been only doing treadmill and stairs but that will change this Friday (and Sunday) :).

It helps you to really build up more of a sweat when your really putting in a workout, or just out walking, shopping, doing laundry. So that even the most menial of daily tasks you do, you can sweat or perspire out more. Wish you lots of success in all you're doing. Eventually I want to buy their shorts. My thighs & stomach will be served better with it. My toughest areas in working out & weight loss. Ugh. lol. Remember, it's not speed, but consistency that helps make the differences. Hugs. :)

  3. Is anyone in this similar predicament? You want to make new friends, or possibly date, or find a non sexual activity pal to work out at the gym or attend a concert or go to a gallery or arcade or bowling, or movies etc.. But it's difficult if you're not the club/ bar type and you're not the "hook up"/ "speed bump" type. Also if you're PostOp, have lost a considerable amount, but still have a ways to go, if you choose to search online, where do you sign up? You've dropped from ssbbw---> bbw stage or bbw---> plus size thus far but still losing weight & apparel sizes; you sure as heck don't want to register on a BBW date site because they're either feeders and/ or fetishists, just want sex or want to debate why you went through the procedure & make you feel low.

And it's purgatory dealing with the "regular" sites, even if you state clearly you had WLS to essentially help save & prolong your life so you can LIVE a healthier, more active & fulfilling one when traditional methods failed for many yrs/ decades, and even if you lost the weight & they see your most current pics, you're still "not what they expected", you may even still be a tad limited in what you can do physically, they still ask impertinent/ rude questions or comments. So you spend the meet/ greet over coffee or someplace lighthearted & neutral (if u decide to meet them) essentially defending your decision. Some are absolutely against surgical weight loss interventions for one inane or out dated reason or another. Ughhhh!!!

And there's no one remotely of interest or availability at my local WLS Support group meetings at my surgeon's office.

    Then we're caught between a rock & a hard place. What a drag. :(

What have you done? What's been your Post Op date Quest experiences/ any success? I've been widowed for many years. The pickings were slim back when I was pre-op, single b4 I was married. Now here in northeastern OH it's just as lousy if not worse. ROFL! And I can't afford a decent matchmaker. LMBO!🤣

Thanks in advance for helpful recommendations. Much appreciated. :)

  4. Hi there! Skg peeps in U.S. [esp. from OH, MD, NYC, PA, VA, WA ]; UK; & Ontario,Canada. I've either lived in, visited or have friends/ family that reside in these locales. You can FOLLOW me on IG guys and dolls: @nicenclangy & I'll follow you back, but be sure to DM me there, and at Twitter below, letting me know you're from the BariatricPal boards.

I'm also on Twitter too: @WrckinBallOYarn

Neither are solely WLS oriented and not crated to "hook up", but just consist of my varied interests, & some perspectives/ & s.o.h. :) Hope we have similar side interests as well; if that's cool.

Thanks a bunch & take care,

    Jen:1309_wave_tone5:😊

  5. Hello, my name is Jennifer, after researching WLS since 1996 when I initially learned about it from a random flyer in my mail in NYC, I had my RNY procedure at St. Joseph's Hospital in Warren, OH with Dr. Woodruff the morning of 06 February 2018. :) I'm 49 yo, widowed at age 33, childfree by choice and have been battling my obesity issues for 42 yrs, Type 2 diabetes since 2016 but now post-op I no longer have it. YAY!, sleep apnea (CPAP) and HYPOthyroidism (in my case it was discovered that my thyroid is under developed. next to no metabolism). :( So the meds I take for it (lifelong) and my "tool" have saved my life so that I'll be able to truly live a fulfilling life, not just exist in it.

I'm 5'5.5" tall, and my highest recorded weight was: 447 Lbs. in 2015/ 2016. My Day of Surgery Weight was: 379.

Currently I'm stalled at 282 Lbs. But I'm going bowling more frequently for exercise/ activity, not to keep score. Also I've recently signed up for the BLACK CARD Membership at Planet Fitness and recently invested in a GOTYGOTY hotgear tank top with built-in hotgear wrap belt. Honestly I've perspired but never really 'broke a real sweat'. So we'll see how that goes. I do use a lightweight cane for stability as I have bone bone loss and I'm extremely top heavy (have been ever since childhood. Seriously. The diagnosis is called 'Precocious Puberty'. It's lousy and the bane of my existence along with my huge awning of a stomach that won't reduce for anything. So I'll be working w/ a trainer in a couple of weeks (they're in the process of hiring new ones) to help me work my core and strength & build muscle and improve my posture. So wish me success and the same to on your odyssey/ journey.

    Cheers from Youngstown/ Boardman, OH.
