  1. Pelo... I found when I had my PB fest that I was learning how to make it faster and easier. When I got food stuck I'd drink Water and it'd come up quick and easier then dry food. That's when I knew I had a problem. When I'm trying to find ways to do it easier instead of not doing it at all!

Glad things are improving for you!

  2. I don't like people that say "I told you so" If you really loved your brother you'd never say that and just be supportive. Do you think "I told you so" will make him feel any better? I'd never do that to my family. It sucks when you make poor choices but what sucks worse is having your family thats supposed to love you come and throw it in your face. Great way to show how much you love them!

  3. It's been over 9 months and I'm just now getting up the guts to post before and afters. Right now my scale is broken but I know I'm over 60 lost. I still have 100 to go but today I had a HUGE NSV. I went to buy some new carpi's for work and before surgery I wore 28's (tight) 30/32's. Today I grabbed a 26 and too big. 24...too BIG! I bought 22's!!!! I can't remember the last time that happened. It's been over 10 years since I fit 22's!!! My shirts are still bigger because I carry my weight around my mid section, but I can now shop for shirts at lane bryant again. Anyways, I figured it's time to post some pic's. I finally see a difference! Thanks to everyone for being so inspiring! Love you all!

First pic was taken a few days prior to surgery and the second was taken tonight!

  4. First, my parents married a month after they met and lasted 32 years until she died of cancer. Me and my husband met in July of 2004 and married in December of 2004. He had just gotten out of a year relationship two months before we met and I had been dating someone a year till about a week before we met. We're very happy.

If your brother is making a mistake, then it's his to make. Your getting PO'd about it is doing nothing but hurting yourself and your relationship with him. I think you need to shut up and be happy for him and wish him the best and stop sending negative energy onto the marriage. He's obviously not just marrying her because he has too. He wants too. Be a good sister and support him in his choices and if it turns out bad, be an even better sister and BE THERE FOR HIM instead of taking an "I told you so" attitude. We all make mistakes and I hope for his sake that this turns out to be the marriage that lasts a life time.

  5. I've been married 2 1/2 years and when I got married I was too big for the dress I've always wanted so someday.. probably years from now.. I'm going to do a vow renewal and have the dress with the HUGE puffy skirt because that's what I've always wanted and darn it I'm having it! hehehe FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS!

  6. I was a little bit shocked that Mark would try and sway her away from getting the lapband surgery. I doubt he's qualified to tell her if a lapband would be the way to go or not. There's several people on here that were in the 400's when they got lapband. I was 393 when I got mine. It's working! Also too I don't think you should sway a person away from it if they say they have a food addiction. Don't we all have food issues? Isn't that what got us here??? Having the band has forced me to see my issues with food and correct them. It's still a daily battle but it's one I'm finally winning!

Cajun, I'd drop the zero and be a hero to yourself! Easier said then done but I think you're still young and you need to take this time to work on yourself and after you've gotten the band and worked hard and lost the weight then I'd find someone who's amazing to you and deserves your love. I'd rather be alone anyday then with someone that makes me feel bad. Good luck hon!

  7. Hey Pelo! In my own opinion I think you're just making the wrong food choices. The first time I REALLY felt restriction I was PBing everyday for 2 weeks. Some times three times a day. On a Sunday night after two weeks of misery I said to myself "OK Josette... what are you doing wrong???" I knew I wasn't too tight. SO I decided to think about what I ate when I'd get stuck and I realized it was usually with anything that had bread. Sliced bread, a bun, anything like that. eggs too. So I decided starting the next morning I was going to be VERY observant of everything I ate and how I chewed it and how big of a bite. I was still taking too big of bites. If you take a big bite of something and chew the heck out of it and swallow it's still too much at once and I get the stuck feeling. So the next day I made it through the day without getting stuck. Then the next day. Then a week. Then two weeks. Then I got something stuck but I stopped and waited and got up and moved around and it eventually got unstuck so I didn't PB. It's all a big learning process. Maybe you need to look over what you're eating and how you're eating it. There's certian meats I can't eat anymore either. After PBing on some of my favorite things they are no longer something I want anyways. I haven't touched a french fry in probably 6 months now because no matter how I tried to eat it or how small the bite it'd get stuck. Anyways I probably PB twice a month now. It's rare. Good luck!

Hang in there and if you do this and still have no change then maybe you need a tiny unfill.

I would NOT get a tighter fill if you're already PBing that much.

  8. Mine is sagging some but not too bad. My lower stomach is hanging bad now though. I unfortunately think I'll be needing a Tummy Tuck eventually.

I bought a swim suit in the winter and it fit great and I swam in it the other day and it's getting too big. Makes me kind of sad because I love my suit.

Now I'll have to go out and find another.

    It's FRIDAY!!!!!

  9. Sometimes it's easier said then done to tell someone how to react to their inlaws, etc. I have a mother in law who I can barely tolerate but I'm still respectful to her when in her presence because I feel that's the right thing to do. I give her short answers and don't volunteer information to her. I can see where the conflict inside is coming from losingjusme. I really relate. I'd just be friendly and not share too much and get through it and come out a winner!

If I were in your shoes I'd be dying to say "so how much do YOU weigh?" after then asked me anything about my weight. Hard for me to contain myself but I do it.

Good luck and come here to vent! We're all pulling for ya!!!

  11. OMG I have tried the strawberry milkshake oreo's and ate the entire package myself. HAHAHA. Lucky it was over a weeks time and there's only like 20 Cookies in the package but still. They were SOOOO good!

What the hell is wrong with us??? Are we trying to sabotage each other??? STOP TALKING ABOUT COOKIES!!!!!!!! hahahahahaha

  12. hehehe Molly, you're SO right! I bought myself 4 pieces of jewelry. I bought a big snowflake brouche and the addison necklace, a silver angel charm to put on my charm Bracelet and the Charm It ankle bracelet. I'm having a party June 21st so I can get some of the more expensive stuff.

I had an NSV at the party. I can now wear regular size bracelets! I tried on an 8" and it was way too big. She said "wow you have small wrists!" I said "Nobody has ever said that to me before!!!"

  13. So how was everyones weekend? I'm sorry you're in pain Molly! Sending a big *hug* your way!

Mine was ok. Went to a premier jewelry party at my sis in laws. Had to deal with my mother in law. I can't stand that woman! Came home depressed and ready to eat anything that didn't move. I did ok though. I'm losing pretty slow since my last doc appt. I've ony lost 6 pounds in 4 weeks. I suck! I need to stop eating all the sweets. I have been working out more though. Which is good.

I'm having a tough time with food this morning. I was getting yogurt stuck so I managed to get down half a yogurt in two hours. Blah!

  14. Hello all! I was banded on August 3, 2006 and so far I've lost around 53 pounds. I think I'm doing ok but I'm pretty discouraged because everybody else in my month group has lost around 100 pounds already. I must be the slow kid in class! I guess I should probably step up my workouts. I don't enjoy it that much but who does, right? Hehehe. Just thought I'd say Hi.
