I had surgery the same day as you (sleeve). As of today I have lost about 25lbs. i expect that will slow down some as I add foods back in, but i feel like I can lose 15lbs a month till I get to my goal weight
Good luck

Tomorrow will be my two week out date and everything has seemed to go very well.
I'm at about 600 calories a day and close to meeting my Protein (60) and Fluid (64oz) goals.
I feel better everyday and have increased activity
The last 3/4 days i have experience lightheadedness every time i get up from lying down. i don't ever feel like I'm going to pass out but it is a bit unnerving.
Any thoughts?

House doesn't get vacumned, dishes get washed, laundry done and folded. I am not out paying bills, visiting various doctors unless I carry a water bottle everywhere. And that looks worse than a 3 1/2 year old with a baby bottle! No my own kiddos didn't have THAT PROBLEM, they were breast-fed into training and other cups but in my large group of First and Second cousins there are many examples. My cousin Amy Dues grandson, I was starting to believe Logan would start kindergarten with an elongated tea cosy over Mr Bottle, his best friend! And there was Miranda Kane , his older sister that we would have to pop the Binkie out of her mouth before she got ready for Brownies. Really don't want to runnother people's lives, but Jeese-Wowee , that is a prolonged period of time! You think I am a comic? Meet some of the fruits, nuts and apples on My Family Tree, Jeff Foxworthy would say they are worse than REDNECKS, known most of them all my life and they still amaze ME!
this was super helpful, thanks

Got the sleeve 7 days ago
Down 12lbs. Feeling good
Can't do more than 1 shake a day. Getting closer to 64 oz of Fluid a day on the Water side. Can usually sit down once a day and do 20z in an hour
Protein has been between 40-60g. Broke the 500cal mark yesterday.
Feeling pretty good- got 6-7000 steps each of the last two days. Less and less pain everyday.
I have moderate concerns that i am doing too much too fast. I'm also bored out of my skull, so there's that.
Follow up appointment Wednesday

I am absolutely experiencing this

I went on 6/24
Still in some pain, but I think it is normal. Not getting a ton of calories. Trying to get to 64oz of Water. When do you hit that first?

Got sleeved Monday
Today I woke up at 299.8- first time under 3 bills in a long time.
First attempt at a Protein Shake this am and see how it goes.
Being under 300lbs doesn't seem like much of a victory in the long run, but it is a start

im day 2 and have been able to do 20z in an hour on two different occasions. is this a bad thing? i have the same concerns
-
congrats
I had mine monday and i am feeling so much different just two days later. Good luck

I got to come home today
I ate 6 oz of broth before i left hospital. Working toward liquid and Protein goal today.
I took a little nap, but am gonna polish this 20oz water bottle in about an hour. Too fast?
64oz of fluids and 60g of protein seems like a hefty goal

I would advise you to not schedule working lunches with your clients/friends for the first few months. You have to learn how to eat with your new stomach. It has happened to me a couple of times when I thought I was going to be fine, but still ended up being sick. It is very easy to get distracted. On your first month or so, you need to focus on what you're eating, to chew slow and to pay attention to what your stomach is saying...whether you're full or not. It was embarrassing that a couple of times, I had to excuse myself from the table and got super sick. Even though I can now enjoy the company of others on my lunch breaks, I now prefer to walk. well, maybe I go out with them once a week, but I really enjoy my "me" time.
Lunches: I pack something light and easy to eat for lunch. Yogurt, Hard boiled eggs, cottage cheese, beef jerkies, grapes and cheese.... I notice I get full quickly with sandwiches or Pasta, so I avoid them at work. I can also now eat chicken/tuna salads.
Drinks: Water..water..water.. when we go out on the weekend, I am now able to drink up to 2 Michelob Ultra or 1 Vodka+diet coke.
Good Luck
Thanks so much

I order only an entree (as not enough room for an appetizer) and ensure it’s a lot of Protein. A steak, double cheeseburger; etc. I eat as much as I can and take the rest with me. It’s never been a problem.
I can’t help with the drinks, as I don’t partake; but I do know one should wait 6-12 months before having one. You don’t want your liver to work double time on weight loss and alcohol.
Thanks!

Hey guys
I'm scheduled for a sleeve 6/24. I'm 5 days into pre op diet and it has been rough, but going ok. It has given me confidence because I'm eating so little right now and feeling ok.
I could use some help with work meals. I am frequently in situations where i meet clients, co workers, etc... for lunch, or for drinks. How do you guys handle this? Not necessarily during pre/post op stage, but more from a sustainable/ long term angle
Thanks
