A week after surgery someone noticed I wasn’t eating much, I told them I had an upset stomach. I am 3 weeks out and have lost 17 lbs, but no one has noticed. If someone asks me how I’m losing weight I will tell them “there’s an app for that”! Which I am using to track my food.

I had some mashed potato after a week. I also had some shredded chicken. I did fine with the potatoes, but the meat feels like it gets stuck in my throat. I have to eat meat super slowly. I chew a lot and actually count to 15 between bites. However, the food really helped me feel less tired and weak.

I had back pain as well. I used an ice pack for a couple days and it went away.

Might want to call your doctor. Try ice for the pain, it really helped me.

About 2 weeks for me, but not all night. Only a couple hours at a time.

Keep walking if you can. Gasx really helped with the gas pain. I also had pain in my stomach and back. It went away about day 4.

I would stay with a liquid diet for at least a week. You don’t want to injure your sleeve. Being tired and weak is totally normal. Take it easy and give yourself time to heal.

Make sure you have plenty of ice for ice packs. This really helps with the first 24 hours. Also, you will need gasx for the gas pain. Good luck!

I have not experienced any vision changes. You need to call your doctor! Sounds like you may have an infection? Hang in there, it gets better. Try to stay hydrated.

Sorry to hear about your pain. Mine was not as bad. Keep alternating the pain medication with Tylenol. I used a lot of ice on my tummy area. This really helped me. Try gasx for the bloating, I think you can take 4 a day. It does get better, make sure you don’t get dehydrated. Good luck.

I had to take gasx for a few days after surgery. It really helped with the bloating. I’m two weeks out today and have good energy!

I was very hungry one week postop. I started eating shredded meats and mashed potatoes. I’m doing great! Watching portion size and not having any problems with nausea.

I had surgery one week ago (6/6/19). Im not losing a lot of weight. I’m consuming about 400 calories a day. I’m wondering if this is enough! Is it possible my body has gone into some sort of starvation mode and is storing fat? How many calories should I be consuming?

My throat was sore from the tube during surgery. I kept some mints on hand and it really helped. I’m a week out now and the soreness it totally gone.

I get “itching” in my feet and toes. Mine is a side effect from Percocet. Try an antihistamine. Also, your gut can produce histamine and cause the tingling, also try allergy medicine or a probiotic for your gut.

I had surgery 4 days ago. I’m feeling tired and weak? Anyone else experience this?

Make sure you take off the motion sickness patch.
