I am still on liquids...but my nutritionist said I would be able to drink wine...but to remember that it will hit me a lot faster than it used to. I will be drinking some wine when I got the beach in August...but probably not as much as I used to. I know I can never drink beer again. Not sure if that helps, but that is the info I received about alcohol! -

The only things I am allowed to drink for 2 weeks are shakes, sf popsicles, sf jello and broth...pretty exciting I am not allowed any juice at all...maybe that is why my cals are down, but I do know what you mean about getting them up some! The shakes I was drinking are only 90 cals...I will look for a little higher cal one...one a few more days of this...thank goodness!! -

I was also banded 7/9....and have lost 6 lbs since surgery also....the scale has not moved since Wednesday!!! I am only consuming 400 (if that) calories a day! I wonder wtf? also, but I think as everyone here has said, it will get better! My port is currently killing me....that is my biggest complaint right now Cheer up, we are all in this together! -

If you have already been banded in July, have you lost any weight? It seems to come off slower now than it did before surgery!!! I have lost 2 lbs since surgery last Wednesday and really thought it would have been more with the amount I am actually able to drink!! I am probably being over zealous...but who knows!! -

I am now down 6 lbs since surgery...but I did lose 17 before surgery on July 9th My doc is impressed with my loss thus far. I have lost 19% of my excess body weight -

nauseous from shakes...anyone else?

Ok, I am only 5 days post op...but when I drink the protein shakes I feel so nauseous....I never felt like this pre op from them. Am I drinking them too fast? I am trying to sip slowly and do not drink the whole thing at one sitting, I try to do 1/2and 1/2...is anyone else having this problem? It is really bothering me and has happened 3 times since Wednesday....any ideas? -

I have always had issues with constipation...I have not gone since before my surgery on July 9th. I just had some MOM (disgusting!!!!)...I am hoping this helps me! I am so bloated and gaseous!!!! -

it was just precautionary in my case too...I have no history of any dvt, etc. I also had no co-morbidities! -

I am now 3 days post op and have been sleeping on my side with a pillow in front of my since the first night. Sleeping on my left side is more comfortable than the right side.... -

I am 2 days post op...and am feeling sick when I drink..I think it may be that I am sipping to quickly! Any pointers on how to sip slower??? I am also having issues getting my 70 grams of protein in, I just do not feel like drinking protein shakes at all!! Any pointers for that??? I tried to start my sips earlier today so hopefully I can make it today!! TIA :-)

I was banded yesterday! I feel okay, just sore and tired. Drinking is a pain since I get so full so fast. I am not sure how I am going to get the 70 grams of protein down...but anyway, mostly uneventful...just chillin now -
