Ok I have something to talk about and please give me some insight... I feel were all kinda like family and friends so here it is… what happened to Carnie Wilson and Al Roker we all know that they had gastric bypass surgery done. But has everyone also noticed that they gained there weight back? Well not all the weight for Al Roker but have you seen Carnie Wilson?? I see all these wonderful looking people on this sight and everyone is so happy they lost there weight 3, 4 and 1 year post op. my question is were are the old timers?? Were are the LBT’s that joined 4 and 5 years ago? How are they doing? Are they still maintaining there weight lost? It just makes my nervous that I could be the next Carnie Wilson that looks great for a while and then I blow the hell up again. Please I am a fighter and this is truly what I want but I’m pretty sure they felt they same way. Now I live in New York and I watch the news every morning and Al Roker looked sick for a while then he gained some weigh and looked better, what if that’s me what if I look good being a big girl( nah!!!!!! I’m only kiddin I rather be skinny) but all jokes aside what if im the one that looks sick after I loose the weight? I just wanted to know if any one else has seen these people and thought about the same things….

Good Morning , Just wanted to know when you got your band how long did you stay out of work? On my job i have the option to take a LOA or some vacation time. I really wanted to just to a couple of days off because no one knows at my job im doing this, but i really dont know how i would feel after surgery. :drool: And the funny thing is if i take a LAO ill be out for about 3weeks :laugh:can you imangine leavin work at one size and then returnin two sizes smaller..LMAO Any way if some one can give me some advisethat would be SUPER:wub: I sit all day so there's not that much movement, i dont see me hurtin my port. Well my paper work will go in next week some time after the doctor finishes up all his notes. :rolleyes2: Thanks Dawn

I will say a prayer for you, But like one of our other sisters said "God said He will never put more on us than we can bear" he knew something that we didnt so take it as a blessin and stay strong.. xoxoxoxxoxoxo

:laugh:Hey everyone hope is well.... Ok let me start by sayin has anyone saw the new Essence Cover?? Mo'Nique is on it an she looks great :thumbup: as i was reading her story on the bottom it started to talk about her fitness makeover:wink2: now i have read things on the internet that says she went under the knife lapband or gastric. NO NO NO she lost all her weight naturally and dont get me wrong i"m not hatin(well just a little:tt2:) but i really wish i could do it like her because she looks GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!!!! in the story she says she was 257 then and now she is 232 but when i saw her in concert she looked much bigger and when you see her on tv she also looks big, i know tv puts weight on you but she wasnt that big of a women. because im 290 and i feel i look around the same size as her (meaning body shape) but im MUCH bigger than her. it just makes me think i put so much time into the research on lap band i just dont want people to say well why didnt you try this why didnt you try that, because i have tried all of that but im still a big women. but i know the choice that i have made is my choice and its the right choice for me..:smile: quick joke in that issue it talks about men an how they LOVE us full-figured women and ladies these men are fine:tt1: i had to laugh because thats what my husband tell me i love all of my full-figured wife:laugh: Its just something to talk about with all my Girlfriends. Hello everyone I am almost at my finish line:biggrin2:… but I have come to a fork in my road.:biggrin: I am a serve asthmatic and I just recently got sick. I came home from work and everything was good I fed my son cleaned the kitchen I was fine, but then I sat on the coach an I couldn’t breath. I told my husband we need to go to the hospital so off we went. I was at the hospital for about 4 hours and I went home. Here is the kicker :success1: I walked in my apartment and no more than 6 minutes later EMS was at my house to take me back to the hospital. I couldn’t breathe again and I was getting worst. As I was at the hospital I kept thinking to my self would I have such bad asthma if I was skinny? So many questions and thoughts went through my mind and I started to cry.:thumbup: I really want this surgery for many reasons but the main one is for better health. But when I was there I was just looking around me and asthma comes in all shapes and sizes. My problem is will this surgery help me get my asthma under control or am I just that person that will have very bad asthma for the rest of her life. I just want to talk to people that have asthma and had the band or have asthma and is thinking about it like my self. I am so frustrated because I want this so bad but not that bad were my asthma will get worst. If any one could PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help me or give me some advise that would be great…. :biggrin2:

WHEN I WAS TALKIN TO MY DOCTOR SHE SAID SHE WILL PUT ME ON AN LOW CALORIE HIGH PROTEIN DIET FOR 10 DAYS...:w00t: OK WHAT IS THAT? WHAT WILL I HAVE TO EAT AND DRINK FOR 10 DAYS? THE REASON WHY IM ASKIN IS I WANTED TO SEE IF I COULD DO IT MY SURGERY ISNT UNTILL MID OCT BUT I WANTED TO TEST MY SELF TO MAKE SURE IM READY BECAUSE THIS IS A BIG STEPAND I REALLY WANT IT..:thumbup: IF ANYONE COULD JUST GIVE ME SOME INSIGHT ON WHAT THAT REALLY IS THAT WOULD BE GREAT:lol:. JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF ANY ONE IS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THEM. I WAS TOLD BY THE HOSPITAL I MUST KEEP ON TOP OF THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE SO SLOW. ALSO I AM GOING FOR MY PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION AND MY NUTRITION EVALUATION AND I WAS TOLD THERE WOULD BE AN OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE. I DONT MIND BUT DOES ANY ONE KNOW HOW MUCH? IF ALL GOES WELL I COULD BE BANDED BY THANKSGIVING AND I WOULD GIVE THANKS:thumbup:
