  1. I accept the challenge ---my first exercise challenge. I will just be walking, but for me that is a good start.

What are a challenge guidelines? report in once a week , daily or just what works for me. I am a "rules person" so if their are none I will make and post my own LOL

Thanks for the encouragement my husband tries to encourage but depending on the day it comes across as loving or NAGGING.

  2. I am looking for local support meetings for lap-banders. Please title your response with the town or county in Pa. where the meeting is held then fill in times, dates etc.. in post.

I had my band done in philly but have trouble making the meetings and I need face to face support from fellow banders- maybe even make a few local-band friends!

    THANK YOU!!!

  3. I had lapband done 2/17/09 with Dr. Williams at U of P. I was very happy with how well the front office has responded to all my concerns before and after. Irini(sp) was a godsend for insurance approval. I am happy I waited for Dr. Williams to do my surgery. Approval took longer -I was on schedule to be approved in 10 weeks somewhere else- but I had more confidence in his experience. It worked out for me.

Wed. night in the city for support is a terrible drive for me. Traffic nightmare.

I am looking for lap-band support closer to home. Maybe phoenixville or exton area?? Does anyone know of any???

PS- My first fill is on April Fools Day- can't wait.

  4. This post is about answering the question "how did you lose your weight" if asked by people you don't care to share your lapband story with.

I have only told my husband and three friends so far. My best friend said be prepared for always thin people to come right out and ask if Ive had surgery. I think screaming none of your business at them would actually be answering their question. ANY TIPS? Has any one found an affective way of dealing with this? I dont want to be rude. But I don't want to tell the truth either.:o
