Quick update . I had my 2nd appointment since my surgery on April 29th and I am down 28 lbs since surgery and 44 overall. My doctor and dietitian said everything is going well and cleared me for all food and weight training. I have been spinning 2-3 days a week and on other days I do the treadmill and elliptical machine. I will begin exercising with weights this week. Food wise I get in at least 53 grams of Protein ( but need to increase to at least 60 grams) and 48-64 oz of Water depending on my day. My next appointment is at the end of July and my goal is to be below 200 by then.
I hope all of my April buddies are doing well and wishing everyone the best of health.
Surgery date 4/29/19.
Starting weight 260 lbs
Surgery Weight 244 lbs
Current weight-216 lbs

Update had my 1 month checkup- weigh in on 5/16. I have lost another 3lbs since then and am at 201. That is a total of 37lbs from my starting weight. Just a couple more pounds to go to be out of the 200's for the first time in years. I just keep telling myself every lb. Lost is a step in the right direction.

I hopped on the scale this morning and finally made it to Onederland! 199.9 but hey I'll take it! It took nine weeks to get there and I could have never done it without this surgery. I hope all my April surgery brothers and sisters are doing good on on their weight loss journeys. 😊

Jillybean526 got a reaction from I Am Groot in April 2019 Surgeries!
Hi Sberry, yea we are. Im 5'3", my pre surgery weight was 238 and I just weighted myself this morning and I am at 199.8. The weight loss has been moving slower as I had lost 22 pounds in the first 2 weeks after surgery. I am down a shirt size it fits a little big but comfortably, everybody is telling me to buy smaller but I dont like anything to hug my belly. And I am down from a 20 pants to a 16. This is a huge step because my belly has been my problem for a while so I wasnt able to buy normal jeans. I dont go back to the doctor until 6/5...hoping to lose another 5 lbs before then. Stay positive you are doing great!!!

On May 18 it will be a month since my surgery. I never had a problem with liquids other than I never really felt full. I still however, have a problem getting the Protein Shakes down. To me they are way to sweet. Even with that I am down about 33lbs from my post surgery weigh in, I am also hoping that I get the go ahead for more solid/semi solod foods. I have been mashing down chicken and Turkey meatballs for the last week to try and get more Protein in...I tried to puree them but I couldnt get past the texture so I just make sure to mash them as good as possible and then chew each bite at least 20-30 times. I also bought baby food for some different tastes. Mostly the fruit but some veges like carrots, sweet potatoes and squash. You got this, remember everyone is different!

@Alwzla8 ,, I was thinking the same thing about myself .. I had my sleeve done on 4-10-19 .. I went in at 261 .. I’m currently at 228 , i thought I would have lost more weight by now since the amount of food I’m able to consume is SO small and I’ve started going to the gym about 2 weeks ago .. I’ve read lots about it and turns out losing 30 lbs in 4 to 8 weeks is normal and the mistake I’ve been making is not having enough Water .. just can’t stand drinking plain water ,, but it’s essential in helping the weight go down faster . Stay encouraged and continue on the plan and the weight will start to fall off .. I’m right there with you 👍🏼 -
