  3. I would take feeling full anytime over feeling Ready to Puke, today there are Storm Clouds in my heart and I wonder if it will turn worse rapidly. Tried some Bran Buds this am, trying to add Fiber in the hopes I will become more regular with #2. NOW WHAT?
I was having that problem for a little while..I used milk of magnesia and also found it easier to go once I added more semi solid foods. Hope you are doing better

  4. Were almost surgery twins! My VGS was on 4/15. My HW was 227, pre-surg 218 and I’m at 198 now (I’m 5’1”). I’ve felt the same way, especially since I was at 199 for 5 days! But I’m down 2 shirt sizes and 1 pant size, so I know I’m losing! Just trying to stay positive...get to start regular foods Monday!
Hi Sberry, yea we are. Im 5'3", my pre surgery weight was 238 and I just weighted myself this morning and I am at 199.8. The weight loss has been moving slower as I had lost 22 pounds in the first 2 weeks after surgery. I am down a shirt size it fits a little big but comfortably, everybody is telling me to buy smaller but I dont like anything to hug my belly. And I am down from a 20 pants to a 16. This is a huge step because my belly has been my problem for a while so I wasnt able to buy normal jeans. I dont go back to the doctor until 6/5...hoping to lose another 5 lbs before then. Stay positive you are doing great!!!

  5. Update had my 1 month checkup- weigh in on 5/16. I have lost another 3lbs since then and am at 201. That is a total of 37lbs from my starting weight. Just a couple more pounds to go to be out of the 200's for the first time in years. I just keep telling myself every lb. Lost is a step in the right direction.

  6. I have trouble with the Protein Shakes as well. I bought the unflavored Protein isolate (I like the Isopure unflavored whey protein isolate) from Amazon. For 1 scoop, you get 25 g protein. You can add it to anything. Yogurt, Soup, smoothie, cottage cheese... I sometimes make my own shake with 1 scoop protein, 8 Oz either skim, coconut, or almond milk, a little vanilla extract, a tsp cocoa, sweetener, and a couple ice cubes... Have to wait a few minutes for the foam to settle it, but the protein powder has no flavor or aftertaste. That is my go to rescue to get the protein in when I'm struggling.
I'm gonna try this sounds good

Thank you. I am trying so hard. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I see my surgeon on the 20th. I hope he then places me on the soft food diet.

On May 18 it will be a month since my surgery. I never had a problem with liquids other than I never really felt full. I still however, have a problem getting the Protein Shakes down. To me they are way to sweet. Even with that I am down about 33lbs from my post surgery weigh in, I am also hoping that I get the go ahead for more solid/semi solod foods. I have been mashing down chicken and Turkey meatballs for the last week to try and get more Protein in...I tried to puree them but I couldnt get past the texture so I just make sure to mash them as good as possible and then chew each bite at least 20-30 times. I also bought baby food for some different tastes. Mostly the fruit but some veges like carrots, sweet potatoes and squash. You got this, remember everyone is different!

  8. Been a while since I posted, nice to read all the updates. I had my sleeve done on 4/9 and so far weight loss is 26 pounds from that morning:) I am still on mushy food until June 12 not that I am watching the calendar very closely lol.. But I have noticed that I can not eat a full 2oz like they say.. Does anyone else have this issue? I can get 1/2oz - maybe a little over an ounce but by then my stomach is so uncomfortable I know it is time to stop. I am having a hard time with the Protein I am now at the point every time I start to drink one I want to puke.
I cant drink the protein either...it tastes so sweet. One of my friends said to freeze it and eat it like ice cream....I'm gonna try that. I am also having a hard time going #2...its awful. I feel if I eat liquids or purees all day that I never feel full. It's weird. I bought chicken meatballs and started to mush them up and put it with some mashed potatoes or I make some Soup with it
