I’m also having surgery tomorrow. Nervous af, but we will be fine! At this point it’s basically a routine surgery at the hospital :) hope we both get some sleep tonight though
Surgery Siblings! We got this! Also, yes, I sure hope we get some rest. I hope your recovery is speedy and safe! Message me, whenever, so we can keep in contact throughout our recovery. Best of luck! ❤️

Best of luck tomorrow. Wishing you a quick, smooth recovery!

    My tips:

1-don't let the scale determine your success. Through the whole process, the scale may be your best buddy and treat you nicely, or it may be an absolute b!tch. Take your measurements now, so that even when the scale is not cooperating, you can see how far you've come.

2-focus on fluids first, then Protein. Dehydration will land you back in the hospital a lot faster than lack of Protein will. Experiment with different fluids if you struggle. If plain Water doesn't work, try sugar-free popsicles or ice chips. Maybe warm herbal tea, maybe room temperature or ice Water. Try Crystal Light or maybe some fruit sliced into the water (but don't eat the fruit at this stage). Figure out what works for you.

3-come here anytime for support if you're getting discouraged. This forum is wonderfully supportive.

    Again, good luck!

Thank you so much for the tips and comfort! I greatly appreciate it; especially that tip of the fluids before protein. I know protein will be hard to get down after surgery. I will update you all how my surgery went afterwards! Thanks, again! ❤️

Keep peace in your Soul; a smile upon your face, the conviction in your ❤that you are doing the right thing for the right reasons, you are in the right place with a surgeon and bariatric team you have trust in. You are the 🌟 Star of this production; everything is in preparation for you alone, Your Mama would tell you,to " Make Nice- Nice " so I shall also. No matter how tender or uncomfortable you may be when you wake up, still smile through it all! And remember pain has o,ly a short season, Joy and Pride in Yourself will last forever. Besides your nurses and Doctors are human, the most pkeasat patients get,the perks, they get their call lights answered faster, and you will not be a source of gossip in their break room. See I have been on both sides, the caregivers and the care receivers, and I Do Know What I'm talking about! Take a stuffed toy or small pillow with you if you can. The first time you cough or sneeze without a soft friend you will feel like you have disemboweled yourself and that sure is not a fun sensation. And please remember we all have had surgery or we are getting ready to, we do understand how you're feeling. Try to get some sleep tonight or you will be wound tighter than a $3 watch. And lastly , update us when your surgery is complete, we will ❤hearing from YOU!
Thank you so much for the kind and inspirational words! I truly appreciate it! 😭❤️ I will be sure to update you all when I am out of surgery.
