2 week check up today since surgery. Everything is great....lost 14 pounds along with 20 prior to surgery puts me at 34pounds. Feeling Great. Dr was so pleased he said I could try scrambled egg to start my 3rd week off. I am beyond thrilled. Already been taken off my diebetic medicine. Go back in 5 weeks.

Doing good, no meds since day of surgery. Have not been sick at all. Lost 20 # prior to surgery and 12 since surgery. Total 32 #. Already gone down size in clothes. Feeling great except getting week at times with low calorie intake. Hanging in there 👍

Thanks for your response....mine was on may 1st and i am figuring it out as well. i'm not permitted to have shakes until one week after so i'm just on Clear Liquids. i sip Water constantly but do notice that the broth sits heavier. I can drink about one cup of broth and then feel satisfied (physically, not mentally). I'm sure everyone is different but i can't imaging being able to drink more than 8 oz of broth of Protein Shake before feeling full. But, I'm no expert!

My question is to know when I have dranked enough Protein Shake or Soup at a meal. Do not want to pop stiches inside. Please send feedback ..

Thanks for sharingYou look great! Congratulations! I had surgery the day before you. Pre surgery pre diet 265, nowb178. It feels good and is fun to see myself in the mirror. But I must admit that some days I veer off the healthy road. It's still so surprising and frustrating that I seem to have no physical issues eating unhealthy crap food but often struggle with the much needed Protein like meat. I'm trying not to beat myself up too much but I'm getting worried about the honeymoon period ending and the regain possibility. Scares me. A lot.

I get you! It is a struggle.
Im proud to say i have not tried junk food simply cuz im scared of getting sick. Yes its easy to start eating a lil more and more as days go by. I did get scared once cuz I ate a lil to much and felt like dying. It was enough to keep me away from over eating or bad stuff. But what I do is play with my mind...lol if i crave pizza I make my own coliflower crust pizza..if i crave burgers i make veggie burger for me, Pasta ? Butternut squash noodles for me.. my big crave is chips! Ill have like 2 pita chips and crave is done... meal portion/prep is a must for me,always Prepared anywhere I go I carry my stuff. Its the only way to stay focused.
Yes im also scared of honeymoon stage ending which is why i try harder.

Keep me updated...My surgery is a little over two weeks away. I've been on a hybrid liquid diet since April 1. Phase 2 of my liquid diet starts Thursday (5-6 glucerna shakes and 200 cals of veggies per day). Hopefully it will knock out the last three pounds I need to lose before surgery.
I need to get active again... I want at least 12000 steps a day between now and surgery.
I've also been prepping for my family, cooking freezer meals for the first couple of weeks post op when I know I won't want to be in the kitchen at all. This Friday I'm going to hit up a couple of health food stores for some samples of Protein powders to try before I commit to stocking up on something in particular.
Good luck to us all...
