  1. Day 4.
Family is taking the red eye to Miami to embark on a cruise to the Bahamas. After a whirlwind day yesterday getting everything together, I needed a zen moment this morning. So I went to Yin Yoga again this morning and then took my girls to a mani/pedi.

I plan to take a bath in our Jacuzzi that I've only used like 5 time EVER! I'm truly a type A and can never find time to actually soak and enjoy it, there's always "mommy this or mommy that" that it's just not worth the effort thinking I have the time!
So because of this challenge, I'm doing everything needed...sorting out the girls, luggage ready so I can later soak.

Side B: I have different bath bombs I've gotten from friends and family over the years that my daughters enjoy more than I do. There's a pumpkin spice one I hid that I plan to use today.
Generally my favorite bath routine is the longest shower ever way past kids bedtime and right before I jump in bed. It's like washing off the stress of the day. I get in bed and my eyes shut instantaneously! My husband jokes that my sleep onset time is 0.005 seconds [emoji1][emoji1][emoji176][emoji176][emoji176][emoji176][emoji176][emoji176][emoji176][emoji176]

  2. August 6th at 1215. Revision from gastric band to sleeve. Anyone else have a revision surgery?
Hello there[emoji112][emoji112] I had the lapband out in early May and will be revising to the sleeve on the 16th, 10 days from you! Are you having the removal and revision simultaneously??
Wishing you a smooth surgery day and I'll be rooting for you![emoji169][emoji169][emoji169]

  3. 72 hours in...
I spoke too soon. The worst day was after the surgery. Can’t tell if it’s because of coming down from meds and or the gas getting stuck at my chest making it so hard to breathe. I have stayed at the hospital almost 3 full days.
I got down watered down juice clear broth and finally creamed Soup. Just took a shower and now ready to go home.

How long will it take to get all the gas out? That had been more of an issue than I thought it’d be. It keeps triggering nausea. [emoji29]
    Time to go home.
Awww, I hope you feel better soon Sillieali! Sounds like it shouldn't last long. Everyone says walking and walking both relieves and resolves the gas pain.
Take care and speedier recovery [emoji253][emoji253][emoji253]

  4. Went for a hike this morning and got to the top of the hill where the flag is......as u can imagine, I rarely do so.
Also got a picture of the sun rising.

Went to spin class afterwards for my cardio Tabata!! Phew

B side: My husband, brother and sister in law and I went on an adults only vacay in Turks and Caicos earlier this year in February. It was such a fantastically beautiful time. It was not a busy time and we just RELAXED in the resort and had all our needs catered to. I miss it and THAT feeling.

  5. Busted. The Kid walked in on me taking this picture of myself this morning. Teased that I take more selfies than a 13-yr old. She may be right...
OOTD: a continuation of the see-through shirt theme...but this time it's sorta appropriate because thats a bikini top I'm wearing underneath and I'm hanging poolside with the BFF.

  7. I went shopping. I ended up getting the black dress. It has some pretty embroidered flowers on the skirt. Oh, and the wrap shirt! I tried it on in an XL and heard your voices scolding me that it was too big [emoji23], so I went down a size.

  8. I am currently 2 & 1/2 Months Post-Op (had surgery on 5/13/19). I am an Alumness Consultant to the Technology Student Association at my former high school, so I wore this today while volunteering at their Open House. I feel great! 10. Day 2:

Book: Reading "To kill a mockingbird" with my soon to be 8th grader as the book is her reading list for the 8th grade and we are reading ahead. I'm having a profound appreciation for the book again having read it years ago. My daughter is loving it as well. Atticus Finch is an influential figure in my life. I hope it resonates with her the way he did me.

Strength training: Does yin yoga count?? It was a LONG week for me (I'm thinking probably more emotional than physical because of preop things) so I needed that class to round off the week.

Packing for the last family vacation before end of summer and school commencement. It's a cruise......heaven help me!! For the first time in my life, I'm packing work out clothes for vacation and I asked my perfectly svelte sis in law to pack hers to keep me accountable.

I'm dedicated to completing this challenge [emoji169][emoji169][emoji169]

  11. I had my lapband removed May 3rd on a Friday and was back at work on Sunday, I'm a physician, so I went to round on my patients on Sunday. I didn't need any pain meds post discharge same day of surgery.
It was light Breakfast day before surgery and liquids up until 2 hrs before surgery.
Had Soups after I got home, rested Saturday and back to almost normal on Sunday. No issues whatsoever. I was happy to be rid of the band as the last few months were awful and it did not even slip!
Surgeon required 6 weeks of healing before revision. I'm getting sleeved August 16th.

    Good luck![emoji169]

  12. I was sleeved yesterday afternoon. I think the hardest part was dealing with dry mouth and no Water within those 24-36 hours.
Today, day after sleeve. I’ve been walking was able to consume ice chips (1.5hr to finish) and moving to juice soon.
I have not burped or relieved gas as much as I imagined I’d have to. But I do feel it up near my chest and shoulder.
Wish I could just massage it out.
Because they are taking so good care of me and I may not make it to Soup consumption by EOD I may just stay one more night.

    Still contemplating.
Im curious how everyone’s 24 hours after sleeve have been?

Note: I gained 4lbs since right before by surgery. [emoji849]image-0.00095367431640625.thumb.jpg.f9ff45a3a6df095ac1a2aa100bba20cc.jpg

  13. Im struggling because I’d lost some weight but due to the planned surgery I had to come off one of my medications because it’s time released and can’t be crushed. That sent me into withdrawal something fierce! I gained back the weight i lost plus a few pounds. Now I’m doing the pre op low carb but not really losing weight. I don’t have a fatty liver but I’m still worried. I had a friend who had the surgery done and she wasn’t required to do any presurgical diet.
I'm not required to do any preop diet. Surgeon said something about not improving or changing outcomes 🤷‍♀️
