    Stomach cramping

Hello Halfsnack, yes it's normal. I experienced it for the first week, worse with sugar free jello that was given in the hospital. It went away after about a week. Hang in there.🧡 Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    💜AUGUST 2019 CHALLENGE💜

Day 29 I did meditate today!!! Multiple times. Going back to work has been a testament... needless to say, I needed to actively meditate to catch my breath. Continued the walking and Fitbit says I do get to cardio range for about 60mins. May 30 We having family members coming for the long holiday weekend. Only my husband knows about my surgery. Kids know I had surgery but don't know what it was for. Our live in nanny is kinda aware that I'm using my surgery as a way to eat healthy and she has been beyond supportive and her refried beans, lentils soup and chicken has been out of this world amazing. I was too busy eating unhealthily that I never paid attention to her fantastic cooking skills [emoji85][emoji85] She's been with us for years!! So this weekend will be a test. Luckily I'd warned my sister in law (and BFF) that I was going on a radical lifestyle change after our cruise this summer. I've had our (my) old food favorites catered and my hubby (who is a better cook than I am) will be in charge of feeding everyone while I discreetly maintain my plan.....🤷‍♀️ Needless to say, I'm not going to bed early tonight as they get in from California tonight. This was a fantastic challenge! Made me dig deep (I love to stay superficial which was part of my problem) and be mindful, accountable and present. Thanks GT. Bring on September!!!![emoji126][emoji126][emoji126][emoji126] Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

  15. Mr. Sean, in what world would 26 lbs weight loss in 17 days be ONLY??? You are doing beyond great!! Our bodies occasionally need a breather from the rapidity of the loss. I know you know that all you have to do is continue your plan and let the chips fall (so to speak) where it may as you diligently follow the rules. This obsession with the scale so early on, while rewarding, can also be crazy making. 26 lbs!!!!!! Wow!!!!! Celebrate and continue the work [emoji176][emoji176][emoji176]🧡[emoji106][emoji106] Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. I agree with PEGGO, I had to switch to fruit infused water like HINT to get it down. I start drinking as soon as I wake up and have water in hand when I go for my walks and plan to finish 2 16 oz water bottles before 1pm. I find that I've been a lot more successful walking and drinking. As for eating and getting your proteins, I just do it. I plan for the day and prepare the day before. Breakfast 7ish, lunch 12ish and dinner 7ish. I don't snack much but if I get that hunger pangs, 2 tablespoon of plain lowfat yogurt or cottage cheese eases the hunger. Also due to the sour nature of plain yogurt, I drink more water. Good luck, it does get better..🧡🧡🧡 Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    No restriction?

AnnieD, this is my meal plan as well, EXACTLY that!! I do get full very quickly with dense proteins like chicken and fish and have to finish my meals hours later. That plan has no snacks before or after. I only do protein shakes for breakfast when I am on the go to work and it takes me the entire drive to work. Lunch and dinner is either plant proteins such as lentils or refried beans or fish or chicken. I get roughly 400 to 500 calories a day. No grazing, no snacks. Break down of macros is typically 70g to 80 grams Protein Net carbs about 10, Fat 15 to 20, Sugar typically less than 10. I definitely feel the restriction. Any Early August Sleevers?!?!

I've had experience with the lapband which was the most horrible pain with eating I've ever experienced in my life. With the sleeve, I know when to stop eating because you feel the restriction of your tummy. I won't call it pain rather discomfort and that's my cue to stop eating. It doesn't happen often because my caloric intake is small and spread out. I chew chew and chew. I eat slowly for the most part, it's when I go too hastily that I experience the discomfort. With the lapband, it was outright pain like a heart attack!! Not this. TBH, I like the discomfort reassuring of my restriction. Take care and you will be fine!!!🧡 Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    💜AUGUST 2019 CHALLENGE💜

Day 27 and 28 I didn't get a chance to rest yesterday! I was up and about after work to soccer runs with kids and I just felt like I was going and going! I did walk around and soccer field for some cardio and Fitbit showed I was in cardio zone with my heart rate (which has been very easy to get to since surgery!! Is that part of the metabolic reset?? Or just ketosis?[emoji848][emoji848]) Today has been a lot better!! I was able to relax for 30 mins after work. I'm not gardening because it's ridiculously hot down here!! I'll so some gentle stretching for strength. 12 days post OP so still taking it easy! I'm hunkering to be back in the gym!! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
