  1. I'm about 2 1/2 months out and down 45 lbs.... I literally just went through my drawers last night and bagged up all of my big clothes. My T-Shirts are dresses now and my pants are practically falling down. I have been holding on to these bigger sizes for a few weeks now and finally told myself last night why the heck am I holding onto these. I haven't gone through my closet yet but dang I didn't realize how many clothes I had. I am choosing to give them away because I don't want to ever look back and be in size 1X-2X ever again. I am thankful I saved some smaller size clothing from years ago that I am able to go back to now and wear for a few months before I have to start buying smaller sizes (yay)!

  2. I'm only two and a half months out but on my plan it states I can start introducing 100% whole wheat bread, brown rice/pasta etc after 3 months post op. Of course they state to get your Protein and veggies in first always! Surgery is a tool to help us lose weight not deprive us of certain foods forever. I was allowed to introduce quinoa 1 month out and I tolerated it well. It was nice to add a little something different that wasn't just protein and veggies :)

Tomorrow morning is the day! Every one's posts , experiences & questions on these forum's have been very helpful to me while I've agonized over decisions & prepped for my vsg. I just want to make a positive note to everyone about this. Even with having a small corner of people for support, they don't offer the same support or knowledge as the people on this site! That I'm truly grateful for.

Good Luck tomorrow! Wishing you a safe surgery and fast recovery. My Surgery is on Wednesday so I'll be right behind you :)

  4. Received a call yesterday to go over information for my Surgery on July 22nd. I'm excited but also have a strong feeling it will be canceled again. She did state they are back to a day to day basis decision whether they can proceed with surgeries that day. Thanks California :( I have my preop video chat with the Doctor this Thursday and have my COVID/preop testing on Monday. I hope all goes according to plan but I am more mentally prepared this time to receive another cancellation. I am so happy and excited for everyone that has been able to proceed with your surgeries and hope to join you guys soon!

  5. @Andrews2018 yesterday they said that due to next week being the peak of the virus in California the Hospital is not allowing surgeries (unless it is an emergency) to make sure they have enough PPE. When I received the call today to reschedule for July they stated that my Doctor has not performed any surgeries in two months. I am just a bit frustrated they didn't relay any of this information sooner and literally called an hour before my preop. Well at least now I have two more months to better prepare myself.

  6. Thank you for your reply! I did the seminar online and the next step is to meet with the surgeon at my consultation. I believe I meet with him briefly to discuss my options and for him to answer any questions that I have then I will go with the coordinator and schedule all of my preop requirements.

  7. who knows! That really irritated me when she kept saying she deserved it. I'm like you didn't follow the guidelines that were given to you... so no you didn't deserve anything. How do you expect to be successful after the surgery if you refuse to follow the guidelines prior to surgery.
