  2. How did I miss this? Congratulations Daniel. Awesome job! Yes, I think the maintenance may be tricky as well. But thanks to this band, I am confident it will happen.:clap2:
  3. And YA, we need pictures of beautiful you!
  4. :faint: CONFRICKENGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
  5. Thanks you guys. I feel friggen fantastic. I hit the 100 pound mark today and I just can't even believe it. Ready2bthin, I was stuck for 6 months. My last fill took me to 3.2 and that was what was needed to get things moving again. Good luck with your fill. The thing that never ceases to amaze me is that with the band, it is possible. 4 to goal today........................................
  6. I hit my 100 pound weight loss this morning. Thankyou, thankyouverymuch~! It took me 16 months and I have only 4 more to go. Quite literally, this has been a weight off my back. Everything is easier, exercising, getting up, walking, living.....I just am exstatic.
  7. In my new outfit last Saturday night. Skirt, regular store size 12. Sat real nice on my hips. Just now in my new stretch jeans, size 12, and new 'big black sweater' ha! Friggen freezing up here in Canader. Thanks guys, I just peaked at a bottle of wine my banded girlfriend gave me when I got banded. It is called Santa Paula.....lol! I will be sharing it with her at goal. And thanks, I just had to show off. Also I did I mention that this marks 100 POUNDS!!!!! :faint:
  8. Oooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Just about in tears over here. I broke into the 70's this morning. 178-179. Honestly, I don't remember being in the 70s SINCE THE 70s. The 70s is where I want to stay. (goal 175- BMI 24.4) So wow! I am amazed with myself. I have been stepping it up at the gym and focusing on clean eating. GROOOOOOVVEY MAAAAN!!!! So roughly 4 pounds to goal I HAVE to go take another picture....
  9. Me too, stress and PMS :yell:
  10. Update: 6 pounds from goal.:clap2:
  11. :cheer2: Strength in numbers. Go, go, go. Still 6 here!
  12. I would really like to know the answer to this.....
  13. Well, I am very open minded. I have a good friend having affairs to make up for what she feels she lacks at home. Although she intelligizes her decisions, I worry about her safety. I also know a 'swinging' couple. I don't judge either of these friends, although I can say at least the 'swining' couple are honest with each other. When I was 98 pounds heavier, I thought I could have been a nun, if you know what I mean. I too have noticed my libido return and with the weight loss, I feeling beautiful again. I notice attention too, but I take it as ya, some men would 'do' anyone. lolol.... I told my dh, that we only have each other, so we may as well make it good. We have both made an attempted effort to make each other feel desired again. Not easy with 3 young kids, but we make sure we have alone time, every day, and date night at least once a week. I guess it depends on where you stand with regard to your values. But I suggest you start within. It has been good for me. Hey, you are feeling attractive and desirable again and I think that is wonderful. Bravo the band!
  14. WHAHOO YOU! Now, I seem to be on the plateau.:cry
  15. Aw, glad to hear you are feeling OK. Your arms look awesome even in bandages. Continued healing and rest those arms. hugs
  16. Aw, good luck today! Looking forward to watching your transformation. hugs
  17. Hey, you are funny as hell. I HEAR YA, but I am here to give you a hug and tell you that this too shall pass, and you will soon be losing weight and feeling awesome!
  18. At this point in my weight loss, if I don't exercise, I do not lose. I hate the gym too, but I do feel the benefits of adrenalin rushes.
  19. bcbandits : BC Bandits Ang, above is a yahoo group I joined before my surgery. You have to be a patient or future patient of Leung to join, but it was good for me to have contact with other Leung patients. It is a very quiet group of late, which is why I joined lapband.com, but still it was nice to compare notes, so to speak.
  20. I am sorry you are so tight. Grace, in the meantime, you can help your nutrition by having a Protein shake every morning, drop a 1/2 a banana in there. Take your liquid Vitamins, be good to your body. As to what to drop your fill to. I don't have an answer for you. Everyone is so different. For me, I was thinking that at 2.8, I was able to eat nice small meals and maintain. If I need a defill at goal, 2.8 would be good for me. But everyone is different. I have recorded my fills and posted my reactions. So I have a pretty good idea. But aren't we lucky that this band is adjustable?
  21. I went to Leung, I love the guy. He is an excellent surgeon, the OR nurse whispered that in my ear, before I went under. I have to agree. I followed his post op diet, all his advice and knock on wood, have not had one problem. I think it was about 6 months No, I don't know of anyone yet, who has got this covered by BC Med. I heard that Quebec was starting to think about including this in their Med, but have yet to hear of any province covering this surgery. I was happy to pay my money. I have probably spent more that 12,000 on diets in my 25 years of dieting anyway. So that is how I looked at it. I too was worried that my primary doc wouldn't give me a referral. But, she did. If she didn't, I was prepared to go to another doctor. I don't even really know why this is necessary since we are self pay. Dr Leung's secretary's name is Evelyn, she is very knowledgable and will answer almost any question you have. Good luck in your search and let us know how things go. Cheers Paula 98 pounds lighter in 16 months.
  22. I live on a hill. I used to walk the 'hell walk' with a friend and not be able to talk while on the upside. Yesterday, my friend couldn't talk on the upside, so I gabbed the whole way. So today the little thing is that I can walk up this huge hill, and without that extra 98 pounds, it seems like a breeze. :clap2:
  23. Thanks Losingjusme! Thanks Chickie! Argon, you won't drag me down. I hear ya on the last few. That last pound took a huge effort. I am having to kick it up a notch with the exercise. I am currently working out with a cop. Ha, she is one tough cookie. I wouldn't want to be a criminal with her after me. :paranoid Vegaswildflower, my current goal is at the top of my BMI for a healthy weight. When I get there, I am declaring goal. But more than likely, I will want to lose a few more, but at least I will be in the healthy range and won't obsess on the numbers. Then any extra pounds will be a total gift.
  24. 6 Hold my hand Argon, we can do this.:clap2:
