  8. I see all the posts about people banded and frankly, at this point, im jealous, i cant wait to get banded. So, for the pre-banders, tell us how your experience has been thus far...what are some of the things that scare you the most about being banded? as far as myself, it has gone fairly smooth. At this point, i am just waiting on approval from my insurance. I am pushing for an April date! :gluck: the only things i really thing about is be hungry, i cant stand that feeling, and not being able to drink while it eat and having to wait 30 min after....
  9. I am pre-band but i thought we had to eat slow and chew well to make sure the food gets past the band but please someone correct me if i am wrong.

  15. I had my consult on Saturday, they told me to start a pre-op diet for this reason! Honestly, I was like if i could diet right and loose the weight on my own, i wouldnt be here!
  16. Sure is! You need to check on that....
  17. I admit, I have no discipline at all when it comes to food...I can tell you im on a diet and be eating cookies 5 minutes later. :hungry:
  18. sorry, i didnt get your post before i left friday, i will ask though... are you talking about something like a payment plan?
  19. no problem... im 29 and per the scale saturday, i weighed 267 and my BMI was 46...I also have high blood pressure which i know is caused by the weight...no kids, no hubby. I want to loose about 80lbs.. about 185 is good for me. I have always been "thick-a-licious" (that's what some of my friends call me) so I dont want to be small... a nice size 12 is good enough for me.
  20. I probably will call. I have HMO also and was told they cover 90/10; that max I will have to pay is $2000 out of pocket but they were still in talks with them.
  21. mini me...good luck!!! i know it will turn out great, he was really really nice and very knowledgable
  22. Morning All, The consult went great... Just waiting to get the okay from insurance!!!
