Luckily I’m urinating fine. Haven’t had a BM yet tho. The gas still hurts. I had a hynial hernia repair with my sleeve and drinking Water is super painful. They weirdly took me off my iv earlier today. Which I thought was strange since I can’t even finish a 16 oz of water.

Make sure and walk as much as you can.....it's really the only way to get rid of the gas pains. They linger but get less and less everyday. In between walks, do as little up and down out of the bed as possible. You need to heal
Sip your Water in TINY sips and slowly. I am 2 weeks out and my incisions are still a little sore and I still have a little gas every now and then, but I admit I'm not walking as much as I should since the weather stinks right now.

Thanks everyone. Coming out of Anesthesia took awhile. Kept dozing off all afternoon( surgery was noon:30) Lots of pain, nurses said it was gas pain. Started walking yesterday. Got to eat ice chips around 10pm. Starting me on my liquid diet today and just sipping Water hurts. I wonder how long the pain from that is going to last?

I was hoping to be an April Sleever, but it's looking more like May as I won't get my Endoscopy until the 24th. I am new to this site and finally figure out how to reply.

Good luck with your surgery. Everybody loses a different amount due to the weight they started at and other factors. Percentages remain the same, though. I've lost about 30% of my excess weight in 4 months. I could go to the gym doing cardio within 2 weeks of surgery but not lift weights, then I could start weight lifting at 6 weeks.

Hi, I’m getting my sleeve tomorrow and just any advice post op would be wonderful. I’m very interested in healing time, how soon you can start to workout again and how much weight everyone lost in the first 30,60,90..... days. I go back to school in 30 days and not sure if I should be expecting to buy new clothes.

I just had my surgery on April 3rd. Healing for me i have watched and listened to healing music on youtube. It has helped. i'm feeling good, and you will need to walk to help healing also. I'M on the liquid diet now and i will say im still hungary, but i know it is part of the process for your new stomach to heal properly. So Far I'm down 10 lbs. It's a start. Look at Blossom Bariatrics...the most you will pay is $15,500 but they will try to work with your insurance to take care of testing and stuff so your price could be less but that’s the max you will pay. This price includes hotel and transportation. They’re located in Las Vegas.
