I had my sleeve surgery on 3/27/19 and my doctor also corrected a hernia.

I have pain when I drink Water, I have been followed the post-op diet/timeline to a T and still I get this pain as the Fluid reaches the opening of my stomach, my questions are:

    1) has anyone else experienced this?

    2) how long does it last?

In terms of the sleeve surgery, other than being a little sore near one of the incisions I have no issues.

Thanks in advance for your response and the sharing of your experience.

    Warm regards.

I still have that pain if I try to drink more than a sip at a time. It's much better but it's still there. I have to sip then wait a few seconds for the next.

Forreal!! I’m a month post op and have been stuck at 26 pounds lost for 2 weeks.
I’ve been having a really hard time getting any food down. Beans, eggs, cottage cheese, chicken, I guess my sleeve doesn’t “like” any of it? Can’t really eat without feeling sick.
Anyone else having a hard time getting “real food” down?

I'm 2 &1/2 weeks out. Lost 20 lbs. If I eat too fast without letting "my food hit bottom" between bites I feel sick. If I try to eat more than 1/2 cup a meal I feel sick & hurt sometimes.

  3. 2nd week out & 20 lbs down. Tried puree foods but most are just horrible. Not the same taste :( I've been just mashing food up really good and eating small bites chewed really good. Also drinking Protein Shakes and Protein Water. It don't take much before I can't eat anymore without hurting. I've found I can't burp or pass gas. Bought some gas-ex today and feel so much better. That's my next best friend now. :)
