Surgery tomorrow
I am getting sleeved at 1:10 PM EST tomorrow. I bet that your anesthesiologist will give you a patch either way. I met with mine. He told me of the drug cocktail I will get when i arrive. The patch was one of the items in the mix. Good luck to you!

Any March 2018 Sleevers?
One more day for me. I am scheduled for the 26th VSG glad to see that everyone before me had a fairly easy time.

What to eat?
Syntrax Nectar is not very sweet at all. Plus they have fruit, tea and coffee type flavors. All very good IMHO

Gallbladder Disease?
My surgery isn't until Monday but, I did lose 80 pounds rapidly back in the mid 90s which caused me to have my gallbladder out.

Hungry...
Try adding unflavored protein to broth. Also, you can try using Fairlife Milk. It has 13 grams protein per 8 oz. Seems that most go through the stage that they can't tolerate sweet anymore. Hang in there. You could also use some of the RTD high protein broths. Savory things seem to settle a little better immediately post op

Pre-Op Jitters
The only thing that really can be done is to walk and move around as much as possible. GasX only works on gas that is in the stomach. The gas that they pump you up with for surgery will not respond to it.

Pre-Op Jitters
That cold is going around here too. I am barely over it and now my husband has it. My surgery is the 26th and I am so afraid he will give it back to me. Taking mega doses of vitamin C and trying my best to stay healthy.

Onederland FINALLY! Progress Pics
Absolutely amazing!!! So encouraging for those of us that have not yet had surgery. Thank you for sharing.

Vitamins
I am pretty sure that she said they are loaded with sugar and not much vitamins. She said that we may as well eat a piece of candy than have those.
-
Vitamins
Try sucking on them like a hard candy rather than chewing. My dietician said no patches. Some vitamins can not be absorbed through the skin. Such as B vitamins for one.

15 hours post-op: All the details
Thank you for this informative post. Hope that you heal and recover quickly.

Vitamins
We were given a list of vitamins and they are all chewable as they are the most absorbed after surgery. Definitely NO gummies allowed. Also, centrum chewable was ok but not silver as they don't have enough iron. I chose Opurity Bariatric Chewables Sleeve and Bypass optimized from Unjury.com They are one per day and only other viatmin I need to take is calcium citrate. They are only $30 for a 90 day supply so it was a great deal for me.

I am STILL waiting for approval.
Well, darn! That is so much different than my experience with them. It sounds like they haven't made a decision yet though. Maybe you can try and keep yourself distracted for the next 8 days. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Any March 2018 Sleevers?
Did your dietician give you a list of foods/liquids you can have? On my plan I can have my 5 optifast shakes per day plus unlimited SF popsicles, SF jello, any SF drinks.

Any March 2018 Sleevers?
Would you be able to drive to the surgeons office and get the info? Maybe their phones were out of service today?

Sudden Whey Protein Intolerance?
You really may want to try syntrax nectar. The flavors are excellent and it is lactose/gluten free. The Chocolate Truffle is decadent plus it is a much better quality protein than Premier is. I mix it with Fairlife Milk for about 36 grams of protein. I get mine at Amazon.

Surgery tomorrow...Monday March 12th!

Common Cold Kicking My Butt
I have not yet had surgery yet. I have these same symptoms and it has kicked my butt as well. I get the flu shot yearly. It was only 30% Effective this year. If I had a fever, I would swear it was the flu. Glad you are feeling better.
