Waiting, waiting, waiting
Have you considered calling your insurance company to ask the status? That would be perfectly acceptable to do and you may at least be able to find out how long it should take.

Surgical pain: lap-band vs. RNY
Let me say that this is strictly my opinion and my experience. Everyone is so different that it is hard for any of us to say which one would be easier recovery for you. I had sleeve surgery and it was rough for the first week post op. I think that I could have easily gone back to work at a sedentary job by then. The big thing is that you need to Put so much concentration and effort into getting your fluids and protein in. If you are able to bring everything with you to work and able to set a water reminding timer, there is a good chance that you will be able to go back in a short amount of time.

Lap band failure
You may want to look around on the forum for answers. From what I have read the process to get a revision does not take anywhere near as long as original surgery. Good luck to you

Trouble sleeping after Sleeve
Well I was going to suggest that maybe it is your hormones out of whack until I noticed that you are a guy lol Still I imagine that you have plenty of other chemicals out of whack and it may just take a bit to adjust and get to your new normal. Hang in there.

Liquid question
I was allowed to add sugar/calorie free flavors to any liquid that I drank. The confusion may come into play if some here had bypass and some had sleeve. Bypass patients are typically able to drink faster than sleeve patients. You probably need to get 64 ounces protein in per day if your plan is the same as mine. When I drink protein shakes it does count as fluid as well as protein.

Stretched Pouch?
I have had 2 different bariatric surgeons tell me that the pouch and indeed be stretched. This is one of the important reasons that you should stick to plan and be sure not to eat more than what your dr tells you to eat at each meal. I too am able to eat more than I should. I feared that my pouch was stretched. I had an egd recently and found out that mine is not stretched.

Change of primary
No. He can’t force you not to do anything that you want to do. Remember that your drs work for you.

Are you happy?
I am a sleeve patient and don’t have any answers for you. I am wondering why would a person choose ds over bypass revision? I don’t know much about ds but I may soon be facing the decision to revise myself. So I am curious what the benefits may be with ds over bypass?

I need a f*#+ing drink
I never drank much anyway but I am almost 1.5 years out from surgery. I had my first drink on July 4. It was just a half glass of white wine after dinner. I truly felt like I drank the entire bottle. Then I got bad reflux and felt bad in general until the next afternoon. Everyone is different but proceed with caution is my opinion.

Restaurant discounts with our weight-loss card
I have a card as well I thought it only entitled me to kids meals. Thanks for the heads up!

Having surgery tomorrow and I cheated
I think that you will be fine. The purpose of the pre op diet is to shrink your liver. As long as you didn’t go too crazy, your liver should still be smaller from the first pre op diet. Those are my thoughts good luck and keep us posted

I need more food ideas for soft food stage
Wow @Puddin57 so many wls patients don’t cook at all. That list would be a big help to them.

I need more food ideas for soft food stage
Search for a website called the world according to eggface. She is a wls patient and has shared many excellent food ideas and recipes for each stage. If you are sticking to plan there really isn’t much more you can do to lose more weight. Everyone loses at their own pace. We all want instant gratification but, slow and steady wins the race

Sleeve or RNY
I had a Vsg but personally know people that had bypass. From what I have seen the folks that have had bypass recover a little easier plus they tend to lose a bit more weight. I chose the Vsg because I was not comfortable having an inaccessible part of my stomach left in my body. Plus I was not comfortable with the malabsorption aspect if rny. Nothing gets removed with rny so it makes sense that recovery may be a bit easier. In the end it comes down to which one you are more comfortable with. Good luck and do keep us posted.
