  1. Thank you. Insurance approval did not come through in time. Rescheduled for October 10.
  2. Hoping that all goes well for you now. My revision is scheduled for tomorrow at 11am. The info that you have shared is invaluable to me. Thanks so much!
  3. Looking forward to hearing how it went for you. I do hope that you are recovering well.
  4. I use opurity sleeve and bypass optimized multi and opurity calcium citrate both chewable. They both actually taste good and I do not get nauseous as long as I take the multi with food. They are both made by unjury and contain no ingredients from China. Very well priced too.
  5. Have you considered seeing a counselor that specializes in eating disorders? It truly sounds like you are on that path. Making yourself bring food back up is not good at all. Please do yourself a favor and get help while you are still in the earlier stages. I feel sure that you will have plenty of support here as well. Goid luck and hang in there.
  6. So if you now get the bypass, won’t that still leave that positive margin in the part of your stomach that will then be inaccessible? Not trying to worry you even more. Just trying to understand.
  7. What type of revision did you have?
  8. I am wondering about these same questions. I too am revising on 9/12 due to gerd. One of the things that I do worry about is that section of stomach that can no longer be accessed. Anything happens in there and it would likely be awhile before it was found. I am so sorry that you are going through this but so glad that the cancer was found early. I too am dreading the darn liquid diet all over again. We have to remember that it is temporary though. I am going to follow your journey and wish you well.
  9. Just be sure that they contain bioperine. I have tried without and did not work for me. Also, I have had two drs tell me that I could take Celebrex if need be.
  10. Here is a link to the one that I have ordered and am using most recently just to give you an idea of what to look for. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07G1DB67P?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
  11. I take turmeric and it truly works! I have horrible arthritis in my hands and knees. Do yourself a favor and try it. Key is that it must also contain bioperine (black pepper) in order to absorb it. I have been using it for years now.
  12. I am going in for revision from sleeve to rny on 9/12 due to hernia and gerd. I will be following this thread and your progress good luck and thanks for sharing!
  13. You can freeze the protein shakes and eat them like ice cream. Jello may help somewhat. Try to stay positive and remember that you are more than half way there. I never lost my appetite like some do either so I understand how hard it is. Try to stay busy and keep your mind off the hunger as best you can is my only advice I slept a lot when I was at your stage. Remember that this stage is short lived and will be so worth it in the end. Hang in there. You can do this.
  14. My revision is scheduled for 9/12. Not only do I have gerd, I only lost 1/2 my excess weight with the sleeve. So I am really looking forward to a 2nd chance at getting the rest of the weight off.
  15. I have not. I do hope that you get some answers soon and that it is nothing serious. Hang in there and keep us posted with what you find out.
  16. My issues are gerd. I had the acid test and my levels were off the charts. I also lost 3 people in my family within the first year after surgery. I did not stick to pkan and I only lost half of my weight. I am hoping that the revision will help me to get the rest of my weight off as I will hopefully be able to stick to plan this time around. i take one s day bypass and sleeve optimized chewable plus chewable calcium citrate now that I like very much. I thought that bypass patients normally needed to take more vitamins than sleepers going by memory
  17. I will admit that a revision to bypass scares me. I am not so sure that I won’t end up backing out, i really haven’t had many issues with the Vsg and worry that a revision may be pushing my luck.
  18. This thread has been very helpful to me. Thank you for that. I go to see my surgeon this week for my pre op appt and will ask him then but, I am wondering. Do you have to take a lot more vitamins since the revision? When you say you are at 150, where were you pre revision? Just curious.
  19. Just some friendly advice. Ditch the protein bars. They alone caused me to gain a few pounds and even now when I have them I go into a stall. If you absolutely must have them, limit to one per day as meal replacement. Also, if you do decide to keep eating them, look for the ones that contain more protein than carbs. Many to most protein bars are really just candy bars with some protein added in.
  20. I have not yet had my revision so really can’t give any advice. I am wondering though. Was all of this caused by dehydration? Were you getting all of your required fluids in? Thanks for sharing your story. Hopefully someone else will chime in and be able to answer your questions for you.
  21. My guess would be no since most of us battle to try and stay hydrated.
  22. I have not heard of this. Did they help you with inflammation in the past? How expensive are they?
  23. I hear you loud and clear. I had failed back surgery and am bone on bone at l3/l4 no improvement in pain levels for me either.
  24. I haven’t had exactly that happen but, I have significant tailbone pain now that I did not have pre op. Some days I am barely able to sit down. I still have another 50 pounds left to lose so it isn’t that I am just bony now. I feel sure it has something to do with my surgery. I will be following this thread.
