@Romanoloser yes, I’ve had the same spot of pain and a few others not far from all scar sites. However not enough pain that I’ve taken anything after the first week.

I’m struggling to get Water and Protein requirements. I feel so full and slight discomfort after a few sips or mouthfuls. And then I seem to stop/avoid sipping. But I’m just going to push on through.

Feel a little like I’m taking oodles of tablets. But I’m considering finding the person I saw comment on a thread that uses vitamin patches and she said that her bloodwork was all A ok in follow up appointments. So I’ll try to find the brand she used.

I had a more ambitious day planned of tidying and cleaning but feeling low on energy, no doubt to probably being dehydrated. So just taking it easy after doing a couple of chores. (Sounds so boring, but I’m usually one to just ignore what I need and at the same time I’m feeling for the people on here who have multiple jobs and having so much to do) Please take care everyone. Tomorrow will be a week since my surgery and the pain is getting better everyday. It’s really just 2 incisions on my left side that seem to hurt the most. I still can’t bend down or over and I’m sore to the touch. The day after my surgery was pretty rough. The pain was awful and I actually ended up throwing up twice just from sucking on a sugar free popsicle and sipping Water. I ran a slight temp that night and the next as well. I haven’t had to take my blood pressure medicine since the second day home from the hospital which is awesome! The first 2 days were so hard to try to take my pills and Vitamins but now it’s not so bad. I’m squeezing in 30-40 ounces of water a day and about 2 Protein Shakes. I tried a ricotta bake recipe I found off the Bariatastic app today and I was only able to take about 5 bites. It was delicious though! I’ve tried a few nibbles of some baked Beans and I can eat cottage cheese ok. Weird thing is I feel hungry a lot! I went expecting that but I get full so fast. I went for a 1.6 mile walk today which felt great and drove for the first time today too. That actually made me really nauseous though which I haven’t been feeling since the first day home. And I know this is TMI but had my first bowel movement today since the surgery . That was so painful though. I think I need to ask about some kind of stool softener!
The part that makes everything all worth it is I feel thinner already! Clothes and underwear are looser and my hubby already noticed a difference! As of this morning I’m 13lbs down!

I am up and about, trying to get my Water and Protein in. I am full after 2 spoonfuls of greek plain yogurt with unsweetened apple sauce and a scoop of Isopure unsweetened Protein Powder. I am going to try to go to the gym tomorrow.
I am really cold and may invest in a small space heater. I am covered up with 3 blankets. All and all pain is manageable and I am not having any gas pains. Knock on wood.
My cat keep trying to lay down on my stomach smh.
I am thankful for my sons 20 and 23 yr old. My 9 yr old daughter is to busy playing ROBLOX with her friends.

Hey there! The positives definitely far out weigh the negatives! My energy level is pretty much through the roof and even through the stall I am trusting the process!
I have increased my Water intake and think it helped because I am lower today than the last few days. Waiting on tomorrow to see if the stall is officially broken!

Congratulations, everyone!!! We did it! I can't wait for updates over the next few months and maybe even years.

Had my surgery and everything is good but the gas pain on my chest was unbearable. I dont think in my life I've ever felt this type of pain. I thought I was having a heart attack. I feel much better now waiting for my leak test in about 4 hours so I can drink at least Water. I havent had anything to drink since midnight day before. Hope everyone is healing nicely.

These days I've been coming up with NSV's that somehow/sometimes don't really seem like NSV's, as I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. So here's another one:
Yesterday, Mr. carried me up the stairs, not like on his back like piggy-back, nor over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes/flour/presents/whatever, but like over-the-threshold kind of carry...which he hasn't done since he literally carried me over the threshold to our first house before the Kid was born (~15 years ago)
All the way up, I kept thinking he was going to pull his back out or something and we would take a tumble and then when we got to the top, sooooo relieved when we got there intact.

I was looking at pictures I took of myself last year and I couldn't believe how much of a difference there was in my face! I always feel like my face never changed because I have loose skin on my neck and chin, but WOW.

Yep! I stalled for 5 days in week 2, then completely stalled in Week 3, with some added Water weight. I know it's water weight because my ankles are swollen.

And there's room to spare!

One more thing. I’m not the heaviest person in my family anymore!!

I flew in to a conference yesterday and was able to buckle my seatbelt without struggling to clasp the belt. I remember last time I flew in on the same flight last year I tried to hide the fact that my belt wasn't buckled from the attendants because I was so embarrassed and didn't want to ask for an extender.
My goal for the next flight will be to buckle it and actually have to tighten the belt!

I went shopping for the first time since surgery today! I thought I’d get the next two sizes down so I wouldn’t have to go back anytime soon. The 2nd size down are the ones that fit!! Whoop whoop

And I brought out one of my cherished blue Levi's. Not even a belt will help these , too doggone big, Bye Bye 26W, now I have to either sell or give away you! I claim a NSV there!

Had a meeting at work today, and it occurred to me that I wasn't the heaviest person there.
I'm not judging anyone else for their weight - rather, I was just pleased that I can blend into the background a little more in social or work situations.

At work we keep a machine for cauterizing wound awkwardly attached to the wall partially behind the exam chair. This is actually not a problem for anyone else in the clinic. But today was the first day was able to fit behind the chair to adjust the machine myself instead of have the doctor do it themself.
I'm not sure they noticed but I'm so happy.

I tried on some clothes in my closet and I was able to fit into a formal dress that I bought several years ago but never got to wear.

And my new slacks are floral, 2 very pretty prints. Why dress like a grayish blob, when I can rock the smaller me? Late Husband would have hated these, make pointed remarks like Did the floral market explode? Dressing like you're young when I know how old you ar . And then finished it off with No Fool like an Old Fool.
But you know what? I'm under new management, my own. They do not make me look large, in fact wearing,them I have still gotten compliments on my weight loss and how pretty they are. And most important, they make me feel good about ME, I seldom had that with. Late Lamented. Now that I can look back with clarity, for I no longer have to live that style, He believed the only way to boost yourself up was to tear down and belittle someone else. And that was the example his father gave him, saw it when I married into that group.
If I mourn anything it is the potential for being a wonderful husband but he was content with being so much less. Does this make me less since,i did not inspire more in him? That's an answer I may never know.

Had another NSV today.
At the mall today, looking for some summer tops. Automatically I went to the dark blouses. I stopped myself and questioned why do I have to buy such dark colors all the time. I put down the dark colors. Bought blouses in red, yellow and lilac. There's no need for me to "hide" behind those dark colors anymore. It amazing how your subconscious mind works.

Thought I’d share a few non weight loss positives.

1. I can sleep more on my sides almost on my stomach (I am actually a side sleeper but have noticed how different being able to roll further round with diminishing tummy)

2. I went to the gym and rode the bike for 32mins this morning. And my legs as in thighs and calves didn’t feel like they were squishing whilst peddling revolutions.

3. Managed to keep food down that is puréed!

I stalled out at two weeks. But then about four days ago I dropped seven or 8 pounds all of the sudden. I’ve now hit my first intermediate goal of 300 lbs!
